Good Morning all and thank you for a very warm welcome to the group:blush: Just spent a good half an hour trying to get snow off my spaniels paws it means that my main task of the day is shaving Buttons legs (dog not anyone else)
@wellbeingcrafts that brings back memories - we had a mini schnauzer growing up and she loved to play in the snow but with those feathery legs she’d gradually grind to a halt with all the snow balls in her hair - we used to have to thaw her with a hairdryer!
Good morning all. It’s taken a while to get going today as I hurt much more when it’s as cold as it is today. We had snow overnight from about 8 last night and it’s just stopping now. I hope it doesn’t last long as I have to go out tomorrow morning for an osteopath appointment.
Welcome to the thread Ieva & Michelle @wellbeingcrafts what gorgeous woolly lovelies in your shop.
My eldest son Kevin and his partner Clare came home yesterday after a few days travelling around Germany, Holland and Belgium. They thought they would have a problem yesterday as they were travelling through Holland where they had a rail strike but that was OK. They arrived in London on the Eurostar after all of the travel on the continent went as planned but their train from London to Birmingham was cancelled and they had to wait for another. This then meant that they missed their train which would have taken them directly to Chester then on to Gobowen and the train they did catch stopped at Shrewsbury. Their next one on to Chester was cancelled as their was a tree on the line. Very fortunately The train company laid on a taxi from Shrewsbury to Gobowen, they would come to Oswestry as their train ticket was to Gobowen. This meant that Brian had to go there to pick them up and take them home at midnight. Poor Clare must be shattered today. They were travelling from 8 yesterday morning till about 12:30 and then she had to be at work this morning at 7:30. Good old British Rail.
Today I have a beaded necklace and earrings set
My day didn’t start too well this morning with sheep on the patio! why do they always decide to be naughty when my husband goes away? (he left this morning at 4.30am for 3 days away working). So this morning I have spent rebuilding fences in the cold and wet…
I have orders to pack this afternoon, but hopefully I will get back later with a listing…
Hugs to all who need them and I hope everyone who has snow stays warm.
Happy Crafting x
All to here. Oh Hilary @kokoblue here’s a big hug, and a prayer that you don’t have to go back to hospital. X
There’s definitely inadequate light for photography so far today, so here’s an old one all the old stagers are bound to have seen. Wynken, Blynken and Nod
Sorry you are still feeling ill Hilary @kokoblue and hope you don’t end up back in hospital.
Happy birthday Pam @PamelaJonesArtStudio
Elsie looks to be having lots of fun Emma @QuirkyOwlStudio
Well done Mina @theslothscavern on your milestone sales
Love the picture of Button with his snowy legs, looks like he had fun outside @wellbeingcrafts
What a nightmare journey for your son Pauline @OswestryJewels. Rail journeys are fantastic when all goes to plan but seem to be more and more disruptive these days. We had a problem going to the fair at Olympia as there was a broken rail on part of the way and the train was cancelled. We had to find an alternative route from Stevenage to get there.
The snow here that started last night continued and we ended up with about 15cm this morning. It does seem to be melting now and the roads are clear. The photo is from last night so much more this morning
I am busy weaving in the ends of the fair isle cardigan I have knitted but think it will be too dark to take photos by the time I have finished.
I do have photos of the custom knit I made to share with you
Afternoon all,
No snow here
Happy Birthday Pam @PamelaJonesArtStudio
Hope you are feeling better, Caroline @Caroleecrafts
Congratulations on your milestone Mina @theslothscavern
I do hope the doctor was able to help, Hilary @kokoblue
Loving the pooches in the snow pics!
Hope your son and partner have recovered from their travels, Pauline @OswestryJewels
