I painted this abstract cityscape for my daughter’s room, do you guys think this is something that would sell? I was thinking of doing some more, is it worth it?

I think they’d do well. Nice and colourful and would probably make a good gift for people to have of their favourite city.

Yes I think they would sell Graham, it’s lovely. I like the something-and-nothingness of it, it’s not an easy thing to do.
Here’s a sketch of Tilly that I began almost 2 weeks ago and have only just had time to finish. I think there’s a time thief in my house.

You know, I do feel like I’m always banging on about how slow it is on folksy, even at this time of year…1 sale so far this Dec…yay, go me! But it really is crickets in my shop right now, so sad!

Tracey that little mouse is soooo cute…I agree, sales are not all that good right now which is why I have added cards to my shop…we need to try to attract people…I was also doing some crochet but my hands are bad again and also where I live it is difficult in bad weather to get to the post office, so sending off parcels can be a big issue for me. (My Hermes was ******) SO I am delisting the crochet and sticking to paintings and cards.
I only do paintings that will fit into the local post box and save all the packaging from Amazon to recycle into hardbacked envelopes…
We just have to keep painting and hoping…good luck…
My sales are dire too Tracey. I made a half hearted attempt to restart my Etsy shop but to be honest the pup is taking up all my time. Thankfully I have my regular income from magazine articles and from my watercolour class! Your mouse is adorable.
Tracey I have just been to your shop and favourited it and a load of your items…I hope it helps.
My only comment( and this is personal) is that you sell a lot of prints. I would personally only buy originals because to me I can buy prints anywhere and even cut prints from art magazines and frame them. I have found that people want the “Original”…
I have heard a lot of people say that they don’t want prints…they want the real thing.
Just my observation because your work is fabulous. Hope that doesn’t offend but I know that if someone buys one of my paintings it is the only one…no copies.

Thanks all for your support and advice, I need to have another look at the style of painting I’m offering for sale, I think a more popular impressionist style would be more successful.
