Does anyone use NFTs

Does anybody know anything about or use NFTs?

Hmmmm… I had to google it, but was none the wiser as I didnt understand a word of the answer!!!

I’m intrigued to know if you are using them yourself as I believe that after their initial boom, they were basically written off as not worth much and having poor environmental impacts :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes Liz @samazama, just as you said :joy:

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. Someone approached me asking if I would be interested for them to walk me through converting my designs into NFTs which I know is a scam. Nevertheless I did Google it and wandered if it might be something I could benefit from myself but found it to understand and just wondered if anyone else had experience with this. From what you’ve said so far, it doesn’t sound promising.

Another thing that is worrying me is how easy would it be for someone to just copy photos from your folksy shop of designs and you might not know about it and what safeguards can you put in place?

I have been asked to sell NFT’S so many times, seems to be a big scam most of the time…

Sadly, you really can’t stop anyone determined to steal your images from wherever they like, if they’re shared publically. I know a lot of people think watermarking helps, but AI tools can remove those from images (although they would discourage casual theft).

I think you can do a several things though: try and make your photos as recognisably yours as possible (personally, I do this with recognisable props in shots and a particular styling for my photos). Don’t publish large great quality photos, 1500 to 2500px resolution is plenty but keep the original high resolution photos in case you need them for evidence if anything happens. Use various angles in your photos that give your item more context to your listing.

I’m certainly no expert but this is everything I’ve learned so far! Good luck with your shop :slightly_smiling_face:
