Folksy 365 - Daily Challenge and Promotion Thread - March 2022

Just had pancakes for tea. For the last 30+ years I have used my bero recipe but as Mary Berrys Yorkshire Pudding recipes are the best decided to try her pancake recipe. They were yummy.
Passing them around to those who want one.

Evening

Happy St David’s Day and pancake day.

Thank you Max @MaxPringJewellery for taking the reins and to Natalie @NOfkantsCurios for last month. Don’t know how you both manage everything, def superwomen

Brenda @teabreaks - glad you have bounced back, as everyone here has said, your work is lovely and original, don’t let one bad bit of feedback get you down. But I do understand, I had one too a while back and totally depressed me.

Here is a daffodil card to celebrate today

Max @MaxPringJewellery that is awful and such a waste of good earrings
why are some people so horrid.
I am not usually miffed like this but I think that lockdown, not going anywhere for over two years and having to cope on my own
suddenly caught up with me.
I know it has been 4 years since Ted died but I was the strong one who held everyone together and just got on with things
then lockdown on top of it
having to suddenly deal with house repairs, broken fences, a dangerous gas leak and fighting with the local farmer because he has left us with a broken fence now for over a year
all piled up
the straw that broke the camel’s back and all that

It is thanks to this group that I am picking myself up. I hate people who moan and have a sob story too
aaargh
I joined the clan

Big hugs to you all
xxxx

Oh and Max
I haven’t heard of Callanetics for years
I have a book somewhere
isn’t it Bum squeezing?..lol

I have just caught up with all the news, and will (belated) add my support for all your lovely work, Brenda.
I am officially coining the euphemism “friends of Putin” for such soulless beings.

I did actually get a sale yesterday! But it was from a friend, and it was February then.
Selling things to people you don’t know feels more important doesn’t it?
But lets start March with a star anyway

Evening Folksy folks.

Massive hug for Brenda @teabreaks

I’m late to the party today as we have Millie’s sister, Nala, staying with us for a few days, so it’s complete chaos! Nala is a lovely, sweet, calm little thing but Millie is really naughty and terrorises her :see_no_evil: This was them this afternoon. Nala is at the front and Millie at the back.

I took some photos today but have a lot of editing to do and listings to write, so I’m relisting this which I’ve reduced and put into my SALE collection

All loved and pinned to here.

@teabreaks What can I say Brenda? There are same strange and nasty people out there and it’s easy to forget that the majority of people are nice. Look at your amazing reviews. Your work is loved. Try not to dwell on the negative. Easier said than done I know.
@GrannysHandknits £2 too much expensive? We don’t pay ourselves an hourly rate but sometimes I think people should be told the amount of time it takes to knit something. Some people are idiots.
@MaxPringJewellery as for yours Max, they just proved my point.

Cake all round tomorrow!

I’m sure Millie couldn’t possibly be naughty - look at that innocent little face.
They’re both gorgeous. :dog:

Morning all

Wall to wall rain again today and think something else slipped off the roof yesterday. Will have to don some wellies and walk down the bottom of the garden as not the front. Got soaked walking to the end of the drive to have a look could not be asked to go out the back.

Lavender tea sachet and spoon ideal for someone under the weather.

Well as usual we got our dates wrong. Why on earth didn’t we show our Llewellyn Goch welsh dragon yesterday for St Davids Day.One day late but with the same good wishes.Feeling a bit heavy today after four pancakes.Starting Lent today by giving up biscuits. Husband has hidden the biscuit tin and I have 40 days to find it.Stunned by The Feminine Touch Designs beautiful cards (we have just purchased one) and Grannys Handknits. The Sailboat jumper and Bright Flower jumper just shout Spring is coming. Georgina and I are wandering through Folksy in awe.
Have a good day all and keep those creative juices flowing.
