Hello everyone, just got back from the motorhome show in Harrogate. My sister in law is selling her house and going to live in one, travelling around! So excited for her! It’s been a lovely day, but the wind was cold! ![]()
Alison, @BlueCatMumDesigns that sounds wonderful for your sister…I have always wondered…what do people do about snail mail?
Cold wind where we were too. Spent the morning at Amelia Trust Farm with my daughter and grandson. I have him all day tomorrow while she goes to Oxford for a friend’s birthday. His father is at a stag weekend and hopefully he’ll be back early. I’m worn out!
Thank for the pincushion love. Hope you have a restful night’s sleep tonight xx
Oh I look forward to receiving them and the kids will love them when they get them. Thankyou. The scarf looks lovely and worth all the hard work.
Hello
Just do what you can, I don’t think anyone expects you to go right back to the start of the month.
Welcome Delatelle…you only need to like from when you joined. You have to go to the other shops to do the liking ( not just the heart on here)…the instructions are at the beginning of the thread…everyone here is very helpful…if you get stuck, just ask…it really does help with sales, being on this thread…x
Hi Georgina @GeorginaCrawfordArt very happy to meet you. I love your work.
It’s been many years since my husband and I visited Campbeltown and explored the Mull of Kintyre, but I do remember the beautiful scenery, I’m in Dunoon in the Cowal Peninsula and like you, many people think we live on an island too. ![]()
Good evening all, happy danicng for your sale Brenda @teabreaks Sarah @dotterypottery Jenny @PolarstarPottery Roz @OrchardFelts and Andrea @GrannysHandknits

Sorry all,very late.
My dear ole auntie died she was 96 but it was sudden & very sad thanks to Covid no one had seen her for several days.
I will catch up tomorrow .
Really sorry to hear that, hope you’re ok.
Weather has been amazing. Gave up on the neighbours over the back sorting out the fencing situation despite claiming that they would nearly a year ago - they pulled down their hedge when they moved in and took our trellis with it (can’t claim it was in a good state but that was mainly due to the hedge). There is a wall but you can see straight over it and they spend loads of time in their garden and are both out there smoking every 5 minutes so there is no privacy. Today I put up a budget option of green screening fabric above the wall, thankfully they were out all day for once so no idea what their reaction is… and not sure I care. It looks ugly but I’ll be growing climbing plants up… nothing I need to prune from their side!
Anyway here’s another one I had kicking around. Really need to make something, feels a bit pointless when quiet… but then it might help pick things up ![]()
So sorry to hear about your Auntie, sending hugs . @WestcountryCreations
Good mornng, I’m sorry to hear about your Auntie Marion @WestcountryCreations sending hugs and support to you xx
Hope your neighbours appreciate the privacy you have given them Mandy @feelfeltfound, we have had terrible trouble with one of ours across the back many years ago, the houses are not directly aligned so at the bottom of our garden we have half of one and half of another, anyway during a storm a tree fell and wiped out our fence so we had it replaced, one of the neighbours came out and started shouting at me that we were always doing this and she wanted to build a wall. I was very surprised to say the least first of all it was the first time we have replaced the fence and secondly the fence was actually inside our boundary there was nothing stopping them from building a wall, and in any case we would have only had half a wall in our garden! the other half would have been in next doors and their house is lower down than ours as we live on a hill so it would have looked weird anyway
not the most neighbourly of people, anyhoo years later they still haven’t built a wall and our fence is still there
so I hope yours are more thankful
We really took off as knitted toy designers with our Gargoyles. Our first was Goswald who lives in Graveney St George on the parish church.
We approached York Minster shop to sell our patterns. No one is interested in crafts really is what we were told.We asked for a trial. We packaged up Goswald and the first gargoyle spent 10 years moving about the shop.We like to think we pushed knitting on in retailer’s minds.
Good morning.
Sorry to hear your news Marion @WestcountryCreations
Love the painting @Marjansart
Think I might take a break from making scarves today - it is quite physical work and my back was aching last night. Maybe some needle felting today - although I really should be tidying up a bit - the contents of the boxes I got out of storage are currently strewn across the house while a decision is made on their fate!
Nothing new photographed at present - will try and return with something later.
