I wasn’t too sure about listing this wreath in my shop but it had such a positive reception on Instagram I thought I’d give it a go

Hello all
Here’s my listing for today. Have a lovely weekend!
Morning all
Mel @aquilacrafts
I have a mixture of brands of sewing machines. My ‘go to’ machine which I use mostly is my Pfaff Ambition 1.5. I have had it 10 years and it does everything I want it to do, from quilting & bag making to dressmaking, I love it. The IDT (built in walking foot) was a game changer for me which I wouldn’t want to be without. I also have a Janome 1600P, which is a professional straight stitch only machine. It’s great for any really heavy work like faux leather etc. I also have a Brother Innovis 1500D which is a back up for both my sewing machine and my main embroidery machine (which is a Brother V3). They are all great machines in their own way. I also have a basic Bernina, which I really haven’t gelled with at all, and Brother overlocker which is brilliant.
If you have a local dealer, may be go and try a few?
Hoping to be back later with a new listing if I can get photo’s done.
Morning everyone. A bird and leaf decoupage indoor pot from me today … reminds me of Spring.
Morning all. I have a collection of old sewing machines that I bought from car boot sales over the years. They are all really fab machines and with a bit of TLC they all work beautifully. My two favorites have to be the Pfaff (incredibly robust and powerful) and the Bernina (smooth and responsive) closely followed by Elna and Toyota (Brother) machines. Of course they are all pre computer so probably don’t do all the things modern machines do but I love using them all.
No listing today as I have a suspicion I am coming down with something (although no temperature and a covid test was negative) so far it’s a great excuse to slob out with coffee and biccies I just hope I don’t start feeling worse later!
Have a nice day all.
Good morning all. I have always had a Singer. My first was bought from a pawn shop in 1968 - a basic, solid hand machine. I made all our curtains with it when we got married - not to mention my wedding dress! I finally gave it to our younger daughter just a few years ago, because she could never cope with the speed of modern electric machines. I hope she still has it. My latest version was a mistake. It is far too lightweight and fussy - I would love to replace it, but at 77 is it really worth it?
I had a delivery of T-shirts this morning, so there will be some new listings soon, but it’s another relist for today: hen and chicks dribble bib
Crocheted rainbow heart keyring - bag charm - Folksy
Hand crocheted from a durable premium acrylic yarn with a keyring and bag charm attachment.
The hearts measure approximately 2.5 inches/ 7cm across at their widest part, with a 4 inch/ 10 cm drop from the top of the hanging loop. They have a thickness of 1.2 inches/ 3 cm.
Packaged with an organza bag and tissue wrapped.
Afternoon Everyone,
Hope you feel better soon, Anna @Fififoxi Fingers crossed that a quiet day sorts you out. XXX
How is the barn coming along, Mel @aquilacrafts XXX
Off to see my friend soon with her “prescription” which is chocolate and Guinness cake and the left over Guinnesses from the pack. She’s had the first op for carpal tunnel, so we’re popping over to break up a bit of the boredom. It also means that the Werewolf gets to see his sister and they can go nuts together
Have a lovely day everyone
A relist today. I have a new picture almost ready, but my lap is currently the recharging pad for a Werewolf in need of hugs
I hope your symptoms don’t develop Anna @Fififoxi …x
As for all these wonderful sewing machines.
I have a sewing machine and I have no idea what brand it is because it has been in a bedroom cupboard for over 25 years and I am hopeless at sewing…I DID learn a bit of basic sewing as a child and that was on my Mum’s treadle machine…Mum made me practice for hours on pieces of paper until I could work it without it going backwards and forwards…lol…
My Mum bought me a mini singer, only did straight and zig when I was 5, loved it so much wore it out!
Happy dancing for your sales Brenda @teabreaks
Thanks for all the sewing machine info - you have some serious kit between you all! I’ve just been doing a bit of troubleshooting and found a few things to try so you never know, the Janome might live on yet! If not I think it’s time for a trip to a sewing machine shop. My favourite machine is my old treadle machine - I love the simplicity of it but there’s only a straight stitch so it’s not for every job.
Hope you soon feel better Anna @Fififoxi
The barn is moving on at a pace Rosy @RosyMoonUK - roof tiles are going on today and partitions are going up inside so all of a sudden I’m getting tricky questions about where to put sockets and pipes! Love the sound of that cake by the way!
Hello everyone.
Sorry to hear you’re feeling poorly Anna @Fififoxi, I hope it doesn’t turn into anything too bad.
I’m reading all your posts about your sewing machines with great wonder, it’s like a foreign language to me!
We have no internet at the most which is really annoying and using up all my phone data. OH wanted to use his new toy today and had to borrow next doors WiFi to download the software onto our ancient laptop. It’s been a slow start to the new enterprise but at least the sound of him munching crisps isn’t annoying
Here’s a new listing
2 sales to report please Mel @aquilacrafts (4 in total). It seems like it was a pay day for my regular customers yesterday
Faved to here…
It’s bitterly cold outside, I thought it was warming up this weekend. I asked my other half to help take some photos of my latest work as its too big really to do inside and I wanted to try and ahow the scale of it, we didnt stay out long
Hilary you might like to take the link down on your posting re Valentines Day - my virus protection says the link is possibly dodgy!!
Oh crumbs I will, thank you
