I have an halogen oven since Christmas and totally love it. It is similar to an air fryer. No need for a regular oven anymore and the food is so much better and you can keep an eye on it to check it is doing it’s thing. I bake also cakes in it!

It’s a bit windy today!
No listing from me today although I’ve caught up with all the loving.
I’ve spent the day cooking ‘stuff’ to get ahead with meal prep for next week or so. Hubster is still full of the bug doing the rounds (his coughing is driving me crazy!) and son came home from work Friday with bad headache and coughing like mad so has spent most of the weekend in bed. So, chances are I’ll get it too and I’m really too busy for it!
I’ve made big batches of bean chilli, veg soup, chicken curry and huge cottage pie and lasagne. All cooling ready for fridge and freezer so at least everyone will be fed.
Just waiting for oven to reach temp then in will go brownies, fruit loaf and cherry bakewell slices. Now if they’ll stop breathing in the same room as me I’ll be really happy!

There’s nothing worse than a grocery delivery not turning up! It’s made me starving all day. I had to go and pick some artwork up from a gallery in Leicester and we thought we’d go to Lidl on the way home as we pass it or should do!
On the way there we took the wrong route to the gallery and had to make a huge detour to get back to it and on the way back took the wrong route (my OH’s fault ) got onto the ring road which completely misses Lidl out.
Came home for a much needed cup of tea before setting out for the local shop got some essentials like bread but somehow chocolate, biscuits, cakes and flowers all made their way into our basket! An expensive day…
