My goodness Brenda @teabreaks so glad to hear your brother and SIL escaped with just cuts and bruises, I do hope that biker is ok.

Had a lovely day with friends yesterday, hubby was thoroughly spoilt (it’s his 82nd birthday tomorrow).

OMG Brenda @teabreaks - almost sent me into shock just seeing the photo!! Is there someone who can keep an eye on them for a little while - shock can take a while to manifest itself. I remember cutting my finger quite badly with a scalpel once - fine at the time but several hours later just passed out and felt quite unwell … and that was just a cut!
BTW - what make of car was that - think we all ought to go out and get one.

Morning everyone,
Oh Roz @OrchardFelts the number of times I’ve cut myself with a scapel… the worst was when i was out sketching at art college and I slipped the scapel into my jacket pocket (to sharpen my pencil with) later I remember tapping the pocket to check it was in there. A few minutes later my leg felt wet. I’d only gone and cut myself without knowing. A nice sharp scapel that. Fortunately there was a nurse on site to stitch me back up.

thank you everyone. I will phone my brother later today. I am in Wales and he is in Barnet ( Herts)…My neice (His daughter is staying with the for a few nights and their son is checking in on them today as well). Roz @OrchardFelts As I remember , it was just a Ford probably an escort.
definitely a miracle that they were able to crawl out of that…thankfully both of them quite slim and saved by seatbelts and the balloon things.
You really are a super lovely lot of people on here…(MY second family)

Up early today. We’re waiting for the council to come. We spotted a rat in the garden recently but thought it was just passing through. Our dog Nico has been behaving really strangely though and keeps sniffing around the shed and the decking that the shed is on. Pretty sure he’s underneath - just hope there’s not loads of them and that the council can sort it out.

@BlueCatMumDesigns I hope you can get the rat sorted…it appears to be the year of the rat because I have quite a few friends in the UK who also have the same problem.
Living near a farm as I do, we get them constantly and I have to deal with it. I hate killing anything but they breed so quickly that I have to put poison down. I last saw one three weeks ago but not since I dealt with it. I get sachets from Amazon which I put in my garage so that it doesn’t affect any of the wildlife or roaming cats…I hope you can get it dealt with x

Morning everyone
Well, the thunderstorm was quite spectacular last night - it seems to have cleared the air. My hayfever is really playing up today though - gungy sore eyes and a runny nose. I’ve always had sinus problems but i didn’t really equate it to hayfever until I moved to this house surrounded by trees! It takes me a long time to cotton on…lol!
Sorry to hear about your Brother’s accident Brenda - I can’t believe they managed to escape from that with only bruises - it really is amazing! x

Oh my goodness, Brenda @teabreaks! I hope your brother and his wife get over any after effects quickly. That looks horrendous. They must be super-slim to have crawled out of that! Hopefully the motorcyclist is OK too. The trouble is, you almost never find out.
