Good morning everyone, yay happy dancing for your sale Sue @BeadstormJewellery and commiserations Sue @SueTrevor, so sorry you are dealing with that, it does make you feel awful, I had one a few months ago a painting sent out arrived curved, customer asked is it supposed to look like this (I do wonder what would have happened if I had said yes lol) I actually think the postie must have sat on it! but no matter how something broke it makes you feel bad, I also wonder why a refund on both items though?
Back is a little better today, hubby did most of the baby lifting yesterday and a hot bath with copious amounts if heat treatment seems to have helped. I have degenerative disc disease so sadly new mattress would not work, itâs just down to being careful with lifting and carrying, not sitting too long and keeping moving. In the main I have learned to live with it as something there is there all the time but I do get flare ups now and then when the muscles just go into spasms if I have overdone it. I have a restful day today so hopefully it will help.
Off to Peterborough today to stay with a friend and then onto Leeds tomorrow to deliver a car to my daughter. Train back to Grantham and then driving back home with other daughter who has stolen my other car!
Morning all, well, I feel like giving up now! Last night I had another email saying another item had arrived damaged in the post! Two items in the same day⌠both posted in the city of Leicester, not my usual post office, but I took them to be posted as I was going shopping. A post office where the assistant tried to charge me way over the cost of postage, until I said that I bought the boxes specifically for large letter post! I wonder how many times they get away with that one if you donât know what youâre doing! Then both parcels arrive with damaged goods inside. I feel really awful and my reputation is going down the pan. So Max, @paperchainsandbeads can you remove my only sale from this month so far too please? The 1st lady said the two items were to send as a gift for the same person, so didnât want just one of them! As for my back, yes, I mostly have it under control but I wish I knew the cause of it, the Drâs just issue strong painkillers and let me get on with it!
So onto todayâs listing, although right now I feel like closing my shop! And I have to remind myself of the lovely feedback left on my Facebook page last week and stay positive (even if things do come in threesđŁ)
I hope youâre going to put in a complaint to the Post Office, I know the odd damaged parcel is bound to happen but two from one batch on the same day sounds like someone at that particular post office (or itâs associated sorting office) arenât being as careful as they should.
Another beautiful day, quite breezy, but absolutely lovely.
Shopping done and then this afternoon meet up with a friend for cuppa - My kinda day
Sue @SueTrevor - oh thats awfu. Please dont be too despondent, your work is lovely, this is just a blip. I would definitely agree with Diane @HandmadeByDiane - something needs to be done Leicester way
Good afternoon everyone, this my latest item a bag that can go over across your body, kepping your hands free, great for when your out dancing or out shopping
Sue x
You poor darling, I really feel for you, you make such beautiful crafts, I was about to buy something from your shop again today, I still will, when my mirror came it was in good condition and beautifully wrapped, sorry also about your back pain, some doctors issue pain killers with out getting to the root of the problem TUT !!! Iâve had back pain, its not nice to say the least, your in the wars my sweet, get a second opinion if your able.
Please donât give up with your shop, are you able to post your parcels at another post office, what a pavlova for you !!!
thinking about you and hoping tomorrow will be a better day.
warm love Sue
Donât give up you shop Sue, itâs one of the highlights of my day! I had a pair of earrings damaged in the post last week so perhaps thereâs a bit of an epidemic. Fortunately I was able to repair them and send them back. I use postal boxes too. Theyâre the right thickness but sometimes the largest size can be a bit sticky, especially if you put them in a padded envelope. Iâve just invested in one of those postal template rulers, with appropriate slot, so I can check for myself.xx
