Folksy address and Facebook

Please help !! I’m new here and really struggling :disappointed: I would like to put a link to my Folksy shop on my Facebook page but every time I try and click said link it brings me to a fail page saying unable to find my shop. My shop name is Bedazzled Bijoux UK can someone please tell me how I need to put this as my address? I have tried most ways :disappointed: I really would be so grateful for any help you could offer. Many thanks in advance x

The best way is to copy and paste the URL from the address bar in your shop, like this

https://folksy.com/shops/sarahbaker1

It doesn’t seem to work if you just use the www prefix anymore

Hope that helps.

Edited - I see that you have used your name as your Folksy ID - this is what is used as your ‘shop address’ on Folksy. If you want to use your actual shop name in the web address, you’ll need to create a new Folksy Id with that name, you can’t just change it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. If I wanted to create a new id how and where do I start?

You would have to create a new sellers account, in the same way that you did for your existing account, with the correct name as your ID. I have a feeling you can’t use the same email address on both accounts, but you might want to check that with Folksy support first (support@folksy.com)

It’s best to do it before you add anymore items, if you do decide to change the name. On Folksy, you can change the shop name that appears on your shop page, but if you want your web address to match, the user id has to be the same name. It always uses the user id as the web address, and that can’t be changed. Does that make sense?

For example, my shop is called Christine Shephard textiles, but the web address uses my user id, which is ciesse, so the web link is https://folksy.com/shops/ciesse

If I had realised this when I set it up, I probably would have chosen a different user id, but it’s a bit late now!
