Applications are open until the end of June - and as well as the chance of being featured in the exhibition, there are also some very special prizes on offer for the ‘Outstanding Piece Award’.
I have a question! Would you like the entry titles to be ‘exhibitiony’ (e.g. “No turning back”) or would you like them to be descriptive, like our Folksy listing titles (e.g. “Figurative oil painting”)?
I can’t remember what the titles were like last year!
They don’t need to be descriptive titles because they’re not being written for SEO purposes, arty names are fine if you have them, or just a few word title if you prefer to the point names, but you don’t need the big keyword filled sentence sort of title that you might use on a listing.
I’m hoping to photograph 2 tomorrow and still have one to finish sewing, the photography is the worst part, if it’s sunny mohair can look almost plasticky (if that’s a word). The ònly room I can photograph in is the conservatory but it can be too bright, I tried taking some later in the day last week once the sun had gone but they didn’t turn out as I’d hoped even with a lot of editing.
Would love to, but no.
I really enjoyed taking part last year and this years event looks even more exciting with the fabulous prizes. Good Luck everyone!
Thank you, What a wonderful display of items, the photographs are amazing as well. Pleased someone asked about the titles as I was still unclear on it, I thought we just put our shop name and numbers 1, 2 or 3, love the titles on these pieces.
Thanks Carol, do you put for example; Bearlescent 1, Mohair Artist bear or Mohair Artist bear by Bearlescent 1 ? Or does it matter as long as it’s in there somewhere
I have applied again this year as last year I had a blanket which made it into the fringe exhibition which sold so I was really pleased with the outcome even though I didn’t make it into the main exhibition.
