Thank you, I’ve stopped with the photos now, it is what it is. :upside_down_face:

Hi Debbie

Thanks so much. You have hit the nail on the head to how I actually feel. I keep looking at your bears to add to my doll I purchased from you.

At the present time we are helping our sons financially. The cost of living crisis has hit them both hard, yet they both have exceptional professional jobs. Mortgage and rent increases has hit them hard and both with children.

As soon as I have some spare money a bear is on my wish list to get. I love the embroidered bears you do.

Oh thank you Gail.
It’s very hard at the minute for many, it can’t be easy for you supporting your children as well, we never stop worrying about them however old they get do we, thankfully my daughter and her family are ok and my youngest still lives at home but I know what it’s like as we struggled for many years, it is very stressful, I hope everything gets better for you and the family soon x

I ended up feeling the same, I was really pleased with my products but the photography almost pushed me over the edge  … got there in the end though and now need to take new photos of half the items in my shop. It will be lovely to see what everyone has entered. Maybe we should have a thread once the exhibition has passed sharing all the items we all entered.

I’ve got some photos so I now need to enter them…but like you, I almost gave up!!! I stepped away today and distracted myself with sewing another bag :joy:
Your photos always look awesome, Debbie and I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve entered xx

I’m really looking forward ro seeing all the entries this year, I think it will be better than last year and with more entries. Always good to step away and sew

Ooh, another photography question - do you know if the photos have to be the square format or just regular rectangular?

I cropped mine to square but not sure whether they needed to be or not, will see if i can find it in the blog post…
Sarah, i had a look but couldn’t see anything, I seem to think last years varied though. I had it in my head they had to be square until you asked the question, one of mine would have benefitted from being a portrait style photo…never mind.

I’ve just been checking the info @Bearlescent @dotterypottery and there’s nothing about shape, just the best image quality possible.

It’s hard isn’t it! I’ve found it easier to try to think in terms of courage rather than confidence. So I think of one small courageous thing I can do towards my goals if I’m worried about stuff, and a little reward for taking that step. I learned a lot from working with my horse to help her overcome scary stuff, it’s small steps that are important, rather than big ones x

I have just had the email thanking me for my Google form,
Where it shows me what photo’s I’ve added it shows me what I named the pics, but I can’t see the image, and I can’t click on them. Does that sound right? I can’t tell if the pics have loaded properly.

I just got round to applying but was taken off guard by being only asked for one photo. The thing is that almost everything I make is double sided. You can’t really appreciate the whole thing without seeing both sides and it says not to use a collage. I ended up knocking together a collage for each with a simple image of the front and the back. Is this the only photo that will be used for the whole process, or is this just for the initial phase?
