Folksy Update - January 2022

Following on from our 2021 update, here’s what happened last month on Folksy in numbers

The Pinterest advert trial was particularly interesting. We tested a very simple advert that linked to our ‘Handmade Ceramics’ gift guide to see how that performed. It wasn’t as successful as the (carousel) product adverts we run on Facebook and Instagram but it gave us a really good starting point and we’re now going to trial a few different types of adverts on there to see how they perform.

These are really good breakdowns. I think something must have worked as I’ve had a lot more likes and saves on Pinterest. Keep up the great work. Katie

I notice that the top 3 searches do not feature on the top selling categories either by items sold or revenue.

Thank you for sharing news on Pinterest advertising by Folksy. Last year I trialled a new Pinterest board with the Folksy daily theme for 2021. I posted my items on the board with the daily theme tags and then posted another 4 or 5 other shops items that had the same theme listed on the Folksy front page. I didn’t get any sales from doing it, but perhaps other shops did over the 10 months or so?
