Stats problem?

Just wondering if there is a problem with stats - my item visits have been going down day by day for about 4 days. This may be true, or it may be that old views are dropping off and no new ones are being recorded. Anyone else noticed this?

Yes I have noticed my stats have dropped off dramatically in the last 4 days.

Would that tie in with when we had the server outage date wise? Wondering if the 2 are connected and if the stats need rebooting or something.
(I’ve queried it in the local captains group to see if any of them have noticed an issue)

It’s going to be mentioned to Doug but the other captains who track these things haven’t noticed anything unusual in their stats (I don’t pay enough attention to the stats).

Yes it might…
Thanks Sasha

My item visits have been a lot lower for about a month. A lot of it - but not all - is due to a fall in Pinterest visits. Pinterest was massive for traffic but I have been a bit lax there recently as I don’t think I get sales from it!!!

I record my stats every day and haven’t seen anything out of the ordinary.

Same here, mine seem to be as usual

Usual here too!

Might be true then. When i get time I’ll cross check on GA

My stats dropped from a consistant 730 on avarage per week to 280 in just a few days! Not only that sales have dropped off a cliff in the past few months. The last time we all reported a drastic drop in sales it turned out Folksy wasn’t connected properly to Google. Perhaps there is another clutch that needs attention. We need Folksy running on top form to get Christmas sales. We know there has been a hacking problem to sort out.

I find that if i google images for suncatchers some of my things on here do appear but they are nearly all very very old listings…I am also seeing far fewer of my Folksy images than images in my other shops and i have far more images here than in total elsewhere, all decidedly odd…+. my views have fallen off a precipice …much lower last 7 days than any of the figures i have recorded over the past year ++ (sales are Dodo) and views are nearly all just via Folksy, very few outside views at all which is even odder…
Good thing i have other shops which are doing fine and get my pension even if sans the heating allowance. Won’t be able to afford cake to eat on the naughty step at this rate…

Checked my stats on Google and visits almost flatlined from outside Folksy, no sales, something is going very wrong and needs to be addressed. At this rate sellers will be leaving. Good job I do not need to sell to survive from sales on Folksy. ÂŁ9 in a month does not cut it, never known it this bad.

Looking at the stats only visits are from Folksy, means F is invisible to the world.

In the last 7 days I’ve only had 28 shop visits and only 3 from Instagram and 1 from facebook, the rest were from folksy. I have never known stats so bad, either the stats are not being correctly reported or something else is wrong.

I always try to be positive, however on this occasion I am really struggling to find something positive about these stats.

I gave up being positive months ago Sue, something not right with Folksy, hence why I am unsure whether to renew in January or not.

The problem is other selling sites are expensive and limited in the amount of items you can have in your shop. The only other way is my own website again.

I am hoping it’s just a glitch and that things will improve, I refuse to let all my hard work go to waste and will continue to promote folksy wherever I can.

Yesterday the delivery driver who was delivering supplies made the mistake of asking “what have you order now”… So he got the full blurb about folksy and yes he even got a card with folksy web address on lol.

I have even been known to give out cards at the supermarket when someone comments on the embroidery on the back of my upcycled jacket.

I use a card as a bookmark and then "accidently " leave it tucked well in the book when it goes back to the library!

I don’t really keep an eye on my stats (I know I should but sometimes it just bamboozles me!)
I have just done a major shop drop (just outside the 7 day window of the stats though) and I’ve got visitors coming from:

Folksy
150
Facebook
113
Linktree
72
Direct
20
Google
17
Bing
2
Instagram
1

So the Folksy views are probably from the daily listing club. Facebook, linktree and Instagram from my own promotions this week.
So I’ve got Direct, Google and Bing bringing other customers in.
Would direct mean that someone has typed in my full shop URL?(That could be from my business cards)

As it happens I saved my Shop visit stats from yesterday. Here they are. Appalling as they are are almost all Folksy… let’s assume these are from other Folksy sellers…

Then this morning after we have reported this 'oddity suddenly out of the blue, visits from outside Folksy ? ’ as I said. How very odd.

Note I have done no SM posts to cause a sudden re-emergence of Direct visits

Note also … visits via Google are almost nonexistent

Hi Everyone,

I am so pleased I am not the only one who is finding sales practically non existent! I have noticed all the regular top 40 sellers (including myself) are no longer hitting the list anymore. Some of us have been with Folksy for over ten years. Something really does need to be done and investigated by Folksy as a matter of urgency for us all. We know admin read our communications between us, so let’s hope this subject catches their attention!

It certainly makes you think twice about continuing if sales don’t improve. Having said that I have just received an order via a personal email from a good customer who has twin grandsons. The needles will be clicking away for a few weeks!
