Good sunny Friday

(Suzzie Godfrey) #1

Hello everyone, sun is shining here at long last, but chilly as ground is so soggy, but what a welcome change.
So what are you all up to today?,
Here my daughter and niece want to do some more baking, we have only just managed to plough our way through all the cakes from last weekends horticultural show, but it makes them happy and I never want to curb creativeness whatever form it takes. I would dearly love to get in the garden and tidy all the soggy flowers. But first library, post office and a shop for a friend in need.
Hope what ever your day brings you are satisfied with the results, catch up this afternoon, Suzzie x

Beautiful start to the day here in Derbyshire too. We are about to go to the gym (again) as part of our attempt to get fitter. Then I’d like to get on with some wire weaving, finish off some more items and generally have a chilled day before drinking more cider than is good for me to celebrate (?) being a year older.

Happy Birthday Rhiannon @RhiannonRoseJewellery.

Amazingly I am going to work today. Two clients this morning and then a residential home with possibly 17 more. The homes are hard work and don’t pay as well as individual clients but provide a regular(ish) income.

I am hoping that getting out of the house today may spur me on to actually doing something when I get home!

Happy Birthday Rhiannon @RhiannonRoseJewellery

Happy Friday to everyone too!

Happy birthday Rhiannon - would be interesting to see wire weaving before and after vast quantities of cider (I’m guessing after would be described as freeform?)
Enjoy your day of chilling.

Thank you ladies!
Sasha @SashaGarrett that’s an interesting thought - I remember seeing pictures of spider webs created after the spiders had been given various substances (in new scientist magazine!) and the sorriest attempt at a web was from the spider that had been given caffeine! I don’t know about freeform, but I might invent a whole new concept called swearform!

Happy Birthday Rhiannon @RhiannonRoseJewellery :birthday: Hope you have a lovely day. x

Looks like it could potentially be a sunny day here in Staffordshire but we’ll see. It does feel a little cold though.

Do you have any plans for knitting later Suzzie? @thistledownandHOPE

Roz @Rozcraftz, glad you have some work today for the money side of things. Maybe later on you’ll feel like making something.

Morning Sasha @SashaGarrett & Sarah @sejleather.

I have 2 orders to make and ship off to America and then I want to do the photos for another 2 sets of tags. And after that if i’ lucky enough I could make some more. x

Well having spent the rest of this week sat in front of a computer tagging, updating and adding yet more listings (and thus largely ignoring the computer the rest of the time, sorry people it was nothing personal but I can only handle being sat at this machine for so long) today I am going to start work on a pair of commissioned cufflinks and since the weather is fine and still pop out on the bicycle to deliver a different commission (the malachite gold ring that I think I have shown you before). But some breakfast first me thinks.

Bit cloudy here at the moment…

Happy Birthday Rhiannon @RhiannonRoseJewellery!!! Have a great day!

Like how views went up in my little shop  10 yesterday, 11 day before  I’m curious when I catch my first sale, hope soon  I started new piece - possibly bracelet, but maybe this finish as a nice necklace  Was also thinking about beaded items for little girls, cause have some nice amount of beads which can be used for children’s jewellery…

@tagpress Kelly I know how much you love my photos so here is a before shot for the cufflinks…

It feels slightly like cheating buying in the silver swivel backs but they already have the little springy bit in them and I haven’t figured out how to make that bit (yet). Will report back later with a progress up date.

Yes Kelly @tagpress , but I can only sit and knit of an evening, so you will have to be a little more patient with me before you see my new designs listed !
I always feel guilty, my own guilt, knitting during the day as I love it so, and don’t consider it a job as it benefits no one but me. Calm mum = calm house, I know, but I also love my garden which every one loves being in, cooking which every one loves to eat. So being a mum with 3 in the house this week and a husband who is only here at the weekend, it’s rather like being a single mum during the holidays juggling life and I am afraid I come bottom of the ‘need’ pile. Wouldn’t have it any other way, as I am very happy with my lot.
There said it, so that is why it takes me ages to knit anything and yes I still haven’t started the sleeves of my cardi Sasha @SashaGarrett !!! But quietly quietly catch the monkey

Exactly Sasha @SashaGarrett with the potential to be a spring cardi season spring 16 !

Photos a tad blurry Sasha @SashaGarrett but I can still see the beautifulness peering out at me! I really do love all of you’re jewellery, it’s so delightful to look at! I will be buying myself something at some point! Or should I rephrase to some things.

Thanks for going to the trouble to share the shot with me, I appreciate it! x

Suzzie @thistledownandHOPE, I did mean knitting this evening, I should have said! But I have read before you mostly knit during the evening. Sasha’s comment made me laugh about the gilet! Funny!

There’s no rush Suzzie to show me you’re lovely items, I know I will see them eventually and that’s good enough for me!

Hope you have an easy day at work Kim @KBCreations, it’ll soon be ‘home time’.

I have both orders complete, just need to get these photos done now. Hubby’s took the kids to visit his Mum so I have the day to myself pretty much since I expect them home around tea time. Best make use of it huh? x

Happy Birthday @RhiannonRoseJewellery hope you have a super day. Can’t believe its Friday already, am waiting for a supplier to get back to me with a couple of prices I need for a custom piece I hate keeping a customer waiting had better call them again as they shut lunch time on fridays. Need to get to post office to send an item to USA. Nige is creating a new collection of items for a shop who wants their own range hoping to send the samples off on Monday. Heard back from another shop who have only recently started selling our products saying their customers are loving the new products and she needs more so will be spending the rest of the day in the workshop.

Blurry hides the rough edges - the final shot will be much better but I will have spent ages polishing by that point.

(Roz) #20

Home for lunch - waiting on delivery of wool (it never seems to get any less exciting!), maybe that will spur me on to some more making later :). Think I might be brave and go swimming this evening although by the time this evening arrives I expect I will have gone off the idea!
