Okay… I admit it.. I am not very technically minded, but I really wanted to set up Google Analytics for my Folksy shop, to see what traffic I am getting and how it finds me. I was feeling pretty pleased with myself as I managed to set up an account and put in my shop URL (so far so good!), but I’ve now hit a stumbling block… it says I can get any data or activate it until I set up ‘tags’. It is asking which platform I am using and gives the following options. Which is it, or am I barking up the completely wrong tree???
Hi! I have followed the instructions but when I copy and paste my Google Tag code into the textbox for Google Analytics in shop settings and click ‘Update Settings’, I get a ‘We’re sorry, but something went wrong. If you are the application owner check the logs for more information.’ message.
If you have any advice it would be much appreciated!
If you’re trying to change anything else on the page at the same time, it may be there’s an issue with one of the other fields that’s stopping it saving. If so, just try updating the Google Analytics field.
