Help please- glue for jewellery

Hi - wondered if any jewellers can help me out.

I have a necklace that I was given by my daughter which has swarovski crystals in it. Unfortunately one of the crystals fell out and was lost. I have managed to find a replacement (albeit not in the original colour!) but have no idea of the best way to fix it. I’ve heard E6000 is the best but not easy to work with and pretty expensive for just one stone! Is there any other glue I could use - would superglue or similar work. When I wear this pendant it rarely comes off - it goes in the bath/swimming etc so would have to be long lasting. Apologies for dreadful photo!

E6000 is excellent

You could try Hypo-cement. It has a very fine tip so you can get into tight corners with it and not waste any. Hope that helps!

swarovski recommend (and therefore sell) a 2 part epoxy glue for use with their crystals but a one part epoxy glue like E6000 should work just as well with less hassle. I tried super glue when replacing a crystal and it made the stone seem dull and less sparkly so I’d go with E6000.

I use bostik glue, you only need a small amount but it does take time to dry, I think as long as you use a strong glue you’ll be fine
