My beautiful Izzy went off to Australia with my daughter and husband when she was just 2. The most delightful age especailly for a girl. I still get a lump in my throat when i think of it.
Even though I visited for 3 separate months whien they were there and they came back in the summer in between to have my Australian born Grandson christened and then came home for good after only 2 years.
What I am saying is, they stay young for such a very short time. Once off to school things change a lot. Make every single lovely moment count.

Aww I can imagine how hard it must have been for you Joy, I would be lost without Jacob, he tells me I am a beautiful princess and the best grandma in the whole world, he constantly says I love you to us all, it’s so preciousl We are so lucky to have them living so close. I don’t want him to start school as like you said they change, he sleeps over regularly and we see him at least weekly often more, they really are a gift.

Mine lived 100 miles down the motorway but that 100 miles was never far. I used to go every 2 weeks and did nursery drop off/ school pick up. Now i see them about once a month and 'little grandaughter ’ got her first car last week

Pleased for you, Melanie (and just a tad jealous!). I am still waiting and ever hopeful, though my chances of seeing any potential grandchildren grow up is nigh impossible as I’m nearly 70. Never mind - our son gets married in 3 weeks time . We have waited a long time for that as he is 38 and has been with his lovely girlfriend for 9 years. Sadly our 40 yr old daughter is housebound with so many health issues.
Love hearing about other people’s grandchildren. We do have a grand-dog!

Thank you, yes my youngest son is 11 and has needs so it’s like having a little one still sometimes, but it will be lovely to have a grandchild, my daughter lives an hour away so will see them plenty
I was a dog nanna as once I had my daughters dog with me for a year while she got house sorted etc, we do miss him

I too had the same problem and apparently even posted about it the same time you did the other day.
Magically (LOL) a day or so later after doing nothing (as I hadn’t been on my chromebook since the issue) - now it works just fine. Eh … Guess I’m just glad I wasn’t the only one that the dropdown wouldn’t even drop down for.

I have removed the magic link I had on my social media . I have realised I am most unhappy to think that adding the Folksy magic link to my own social media or website is enabling Folksy to drop non-essenrial cookies on my customer’s devices, entirely without their permission if they click that my link.
Now I agree that essential cookies are fine, just about but it is very definitely not essential to the operation of anything that these magic cookies, to reduce a sellers commission, should be dropped and the customer is not given any opportunity to either accept of reject anything.
I do hope that Folksy will get this sorted asap. I did raise this with them at the end of last year and I cannot see that anything at all has been done to resolve anything.
PS Those of you with your own websites to which you have added Google Analytics (mine is via Create) might care to know that GA cookies not considered essential either so i will be making a little modificciation to my own website to give visitors the Cookies accept/reject option as soon as I’ve sorted exaclly what I need to do… and that willl be done by the end of this month ( not the end of the year )
