I Like the Purple Gift Guide Button!

Unfortunately it’s a very subtle styling bug, sorry, so it’ll take a while longer.
I think I’ll need to bring a front-end designer in to have an investigate with me.
Just so’s you know it’s not been forgotten about!

I too like the purple button. I agree about keeping the original landing page open. Could this be done as on other sites, that when clicked, it would open a pop-up size box so that they essentially stay on the landing page but can look at other items? At least then they would be seeing their original landing page once they have closed that window allowing for possible additional sales?

Thanks,
Leslie

EEEkk - I’ve tagged the shops which have added the text…@MyfanwysMiscellany @BizzyLiz @littleRamstudio @LizzieMade
Have anyone noticed that by adding that little bit of text to the shop name it then appears under every item in your Shop View : I’ve copy / pasted an example from one of your shops I’ve now removed mine as it looks decidedly odd in Shop View mode.

xx

I’ve removed it, thanks Joy.

Yes, I realised this, but I decided the benefit of having it clearly displayed how to get back to my shop out weighed this issue. I’d be surprised if most people bothered to read the text under the pictures anyway…if they like the look of the item from the picture they will just click it to get more details…

Hello – just an update on the gift guides image appearing in the FB links issue, as it’s been a while.
I’ve got a fix for this ready, and hopefully should be pushing it out later today.
Happy New Year!

@dougfolksy - still having this issue, every time I post a link to an item on FB the gift guide picture appears and I have to delete the comment and try again. Nearly always works second time round but very frustrating. If you have a solution please can we have it too!

It is still showing on receipt printouts too - can it be removed from those too please?

Hello – yes, sorry about that.
I researched the issue and pushed a simple fix for it, but that obviously hasn’t worked.
It seemed to work when I deployed it, but as this is an intermittent error, it obviously hadn’t.
The next step is to change how the banner is displayed, by making it a background image on a link element, rather than an image tag in its own right. I’ll be having a look at that on Monday or Tuesday, or maybe passing the job along to a designer if it starts to impact lots of other elements on the page.
But there is a next step, and we will be taking it.
Sorry this is dragging on, it’s a rather subtle bug.
