Hello everybody I know on Instagram.
I am sorry I appear to be hacked.
Don’t go on link in messages as it is not me.

HI Sue, I had a message from you…I didn’t open it, it said something like ‘this took me 2 hours to make’…just seen another post from another Folksy seller who has had the same thing happen, nightmare isn’t it x

I got one of those yesterday with the same wording too but from another seller. I deleted the message but it is a bit of a worry. Hope you get it sorted soon @bramleycards x

I’m so sorry you have experienced this Sue- it’s awful and unnerving but I did want to extend your warning to others!

There was a post from Handmade Hour last week ( I think) forewarning the handmade community of this exact thing. Like Debbie mentioned, it starts off with ‘This took me 2/3 hours to make…’ and it appears to be targeting the handmade community, why, I have no idea but it appears to be rife at the moment.
For the full details, please go to the Handmade Hour account, it might be in their stories, someone tagged me for reference, so I can’t remember where I saw it but I’m sure they will still have it available. Every handmade business needs to hear this…

I hope you are up and running again soon.

I have had this too. Just blocked them and reported them. I have also got myself into the habit of changing my passwords on a regular basis. My friend who works in IT says @ symbol is one of the hardest to decrypt. So far so good and not been hacked recently. Result.

I use a lot of symbols in passwords especially that one, I do change passwords but not as regularly as I should perhaps

Thanks Annie
Luckily I hadn’t opened anything myself but all my followers had a couple of different links sent from my account!
I have changed passwords, on email as well but I felt really guilty that this had happened to our community from my account!

Thanks John, that is a good tip!

Hi Debby
I think changing passwords it a good idea, but I have blocks for different areas of life!!! Adding symbols to those and changing them often would be a good idea too!

Thank you Sharon, yes sorted. Also thanks to Folksy email some crafters were able to contact me directly and ask was it me or not, so a shout out for Folksy!!!

Yes thanks, it was sorted quickly for me, also with help from Folksy folk!

Completely agree, when I do change mine I can’t remember the new passwords  so I sign myself out, I do tend to use the same one for a couple of sites as it makes life easier with a sieve brain
