Introducing Myself (Rosefinch Fibres)

Hi there all! I’ve just finished setting up my Folksy (and made my first sale already!)
But I’m wondering what y’alls advice is for keeping the shop active and keeping up sales? I currently have an Instagram for the shop too but I don’t really use any other socials.
Can’t wait to dive into the forums and meet more crafters too!

Hi Ell and welcome to Folksy, congratulations on your first sale! The way to encourage sales is through social media so it’s best to get on as many as you can manage! I have Instagram, Facebook, Threads and Pinterest, I don’t have the energy or knowledge for anymore! It can be time consuming but it’s worth doing as you will get sales this way. Don’t forget to add links to your social media accounts to your Folksy shop and visa versa then people will be able to find you. Good luck.

Welcome to Folksy from me too.
I have found Folksy very easy to use and everyone is very friendly and helpful. I havent had many sales so Im not the best person to ask for advise!
The Daily Listing Challenge thread on the forum is a really good one to get to " know" people and to get your shop known amongst other sellers.

Congratulations, welcome to Folksy. I’ve been on here about a year, but have to say sales through here seem very limited although on a few media sites; get yourself a bespoke website, that helps tremendously. I find if I mix and match across media sites and website I can average about 30/40 sales a month - exposure, exposure, even if you have to pay a bit of commission to other sites, then you have the chance of repeat business and referals. Good luck.

Welcome to Folksy - great news on your first sale.

I’ve just followed you on Instagram. I’ve been a bit slack in posting on there for a while and I can definitely see a drastic drop in engagement. Reels seem to get me the most visibility.

Welcome to Folksy! The community here is lovely. Sales are hard work and if you don’t keep up with the social media round they drop off more or less completely. But I’d still rather be here than anywhere else
