Issues with Tracked24 Deliveries – Anyone Else Experienced This?

I’ve been having quite a few issues with Royal Mail’s Tracked24 service lately. Despite paying for a fast, tracked service, many of my parcels have been delayed, and some still haven’t been delivered. Today, things got even worse: I had a parcel collection booked for between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, but the postman never showed up, and the parcel is still sitting here. I’ve already filed multiple complaints, but nothing seems to be improving.
Has anyone else had similar problems with Royal Mail or any other couriers? How did you deal with it?

I use Royal Mail’s Tracked24 & Tracked48 but I always take them myself to the post office as their collection service has become too unreliable.

I have had them turn up at 5 to collect before now, and still got delivered next day. So don’t despair yet.
Tracked 24 and 48 seem quite random when they deliver, if something is urgent I use Special delivery.

I use the collection service and tracked 48 or tracked 24 booked via the Royal Mail website and have never had any issues with collection or delivery. Our postie is extremely reliable.

I use tracked 48. It’s been mainly alright, with deliveries on time. But. There was once when I had it booked for collection, the postman went past, never knocked and I got a text that they tried to collect and nobody was in. I was in, and they never stopped at the house, I had the camera footage to verify. I rebooked for next day, and went to the post office because it was still showing on their site as failed collection. They gave me a phone number, I called, they promised the parcel would be collected next day. The next day, same postman, exactly same thing happened. I rang again, I filed a complaint, still have the reference number, nobody ever rang or mailed to tell me what happened. Luckily, the customer was known to us, so he collected in a later date. Still use the same service, without any more problems.
If you have a printer, you can print the label and drop it to the post office, they do collect them now, but you need the label.

I’m responding to everyone as you have all confirmed that you haven’t encountered any issues with Royal Mail. Honestly, until a few days ago, I hadn’t experienced any problems either; they have always been punctual with both pickups and deliveries.
However, in the past few days, I’ve had issues with three packages. The first one was delivered on the Saturday of the following week after Royal Mail picked it up on Monday. The second package, destined for Wales and picked up on Monday, is still showing as stuck in Leicester according to the tracking. Lastly, for today’s package, which was booked yesterday with confirmation via email that it would be picked up between 8:30 and 12:59 at my address, it is still in my depandance at 16:07.

Hi I use tracked 48 and havnt had any issues as yet, my postie is very reliable, 2 parcels collected on Wednesday, one customer has messaged to say she received her package yesterday so I am presuming the other one has as well.

Mostly I find that it’s a very reliable service, although a couple of weeks ago a tracked 24 parcel seemed to go missing and then was charged excess postage despite being in a small parcel box (the same that I’ve used for years). My customer was very kind and paid the charge but really shouldn’t have had to - I offered to refund her but she said no :pray::pray:…it was waaaaayyyyy too much hassle to complain but I am now feeling a little bit wary :grimacing: x
