So pleased you had a lovely day with your grandson Joss, despite the rain.
I used to have similar weird conversations with my sister, that you have with yours. Her epilepsy really affected both her memory and also her mental cognition. When it was really bad, she would cotton onto one thing she understood or remembered from the conversation, and then go off on a very strange story. As you say, sometimes they were very amusing. We used to have a laugh about them in her more aware periods - the nature of her epilepsy meant she was aware she was doing it, and although it initially upset her she recognised that it was the illness not her. She is no longer with us, but we all remember those times and have a little chuckle about some of the things she said.
When caring for her, I read a lot about how her brain was functioning. There is growing evidence that allowing people with brain disorders like epilepsy (and also dementia) the space to make up a story is really beneficial. It doesn’t matter that it’s not making sense, or that they have forgotten things from the past, or even the last 5 minutes. It’s just good for them to be a storyteller, and to be part of the conversation.
It might not feel like it at the moment, but you will be able to look back on this time with your sister with fondness. You being there and giving her the initial prompt with your own tales of life, means she has the enjoyment of creating her own story in return. xx

No, nothing to do with Folksy, it’s an online market that takes place every few months on Facebook. You pay for your stall, and the month the market is live (it will be in August again), you just post on the page your items, with your shop link. You can post as often as you want throughout the month. I have the page on my Facebook post that I did earlier today, you can pop over and have a look regardless of joining now or not

At the moment, the market is not live, so you can only do an introductory post on their page. When the market is live in August, you will be able to post your items. I was feeling a bit lost at the beginning as well, but if you have a look on the page you will see what others doing, and of course, you can always ask. Happy to dm me if you want x
