Umm… sort of… you see, my original is a photograph which I have taken, I then have a 5 step process of turning that photo into the picture you see here through a series of programmes on my pc which produces the final result here, so the ‘original’ image really is a load of manipulated pixels rather than an original watercolour or oil painting…
It’s not just a case of push a button and you get the finished product (I wish it was!) I many times spend more time twiddling and manipulating the image it would have been quicker to paint it! But at least there’s no mess to clear up anymore

Well, the weather really didn’t like me today, everytime I set foot out of the car the heavens opened up so we went to a garden centre, had a spot to eat then came home. Guess what? The sun’s now shining and the sky’s a nice shade of blue… Great.
Still, it’s given me a chance to list another picture this afternoon:

Hi I thought I should come and join in on this thread, I have a lot of paintings, I’m self taught since age 56yrs I never really did any painting except school many moons ago
I love oils but don’t do many now because I feel poorly after using them, I can tolerate using oils outside in the garden in short spells, so I use mostly acrylic and even these can effect me sometimes, its so annoying 
does anyone have this problem ?
This painting I have used mixed media, acrylic paints, inks, salt, I love how this has turned out, it is a small piece of art, I have put It into a antique white mount 14 x 11 inch with backing board and cellophane bag. This looks great with lighting shining down on it, it comes alive…I was inspired to paint this Surreal Universe for my love of our universes which has such order and beauty.
