Morning everyone & hope those suffering from hay-fever & arthritis & anything else have a better day.
Sandra @RedDevilCrafts - after getting off to a reasonable start I’m finding it a very slow month. I’m seeing the same at some of my craft fairs - I think it’s probably the time of the year.
People will be looking for teachers’ gifts anytime now, & your work is well suited to that, so maybe that will bring you some sales?
I’m having problems with my camera - it’s had a couple of marks showing up on each picture, but they seem to have multiplied beyond what I can edit out. We go away in a few days so I think I’ll look out for a good buy at the airport. Mine was a cheapie one a few years ago & has been great (once I bothered to read the manual) so I can’t complain. Any tips or pointers would be welcome
Thanks, Rene, @Dawitchi, I’m glad you like them as I could not get a decent colour likeness for the picture so people have to buy them on faith, but they are a lovely colour, aren’t they?
Sorry to hear about your fruit, Donna. I planted a cherry tree four years ago and we’ve not had one cerry off it as the birds get there first - I’ve given up now and just think of it a bird feeder.
Just waiting for a lady to come and collect my spinning wheel - a victim of the clearing out - so will be back soon with some more fibre destash.
Thank you @annysgifts and @StephanieGuy for your condolences I think nets might be the answer, I’d have to get lots of them though as the birds had all my cherries last month and I have a good crop of grapes coming along so maybe I’ll be able to save them. I’m feeling lot better now, I listened to Pharrel Williams Happy, very loudly, it’s guaranteed to cheer anyone up lol I’ve just got to take some pics of my new soaps so I’ll be back in a little while
Morning everyone - flying visit this morning but promise to be back later for a browse and read.
Just listed this pretty Pansy Bookmark in Lace - Maureen
I don’t think I’d be able to buy a shed down your way Jacqueline, prices are so different up here average for a 3 bed is £125.000 -£175.000 and wages are so low, I’d love to move but like you finances don’t allow it.
Hehe Roz @Rozcraftz sounds fun, if you had gone as a strawberry you would probably have been running most of the time trying to get away from those wanting to pour cream on you
Morning Max @paperchainsandbeads hope your feeling more relaxed today, love the coaters x
Natalie @NOfkantsCurios I hope it eases up for you today, and all others who are suffering x
Steph @stephshortstationery No hun no kicking for you today, you need a nice relaxing bubblebath with cake’s, tea and a book
Oh Donna @ShropshireNaturalProducts, I hope your scarecrow works, I know how your feeling, i’m down to 1 pear, 1 plum, 1 cooking apple and 3 eating apples, I netted the cherries so have about a dozen on them, luckily they havn’t touched the blueberries … yet, and my grapes are later variety so nothing there for them to get yet :-),
Steph @StephanieGuy Lovely and colourful reminds me of cottage gardens
Gosh didn’t realise quite a lot of pearls were so green fingered!!! You’re are more than welcome to come and sort my garden out…I’ll provide plenty of cake and cuppas…lol
@silverspiral Jax …I wish!!! Lol! Well done on FB sale btw x
So sorry those with hayfever are still suffering xx
@annysgifts Swimming would be ideal but I can’t swim! I have a fear of water that I seem to have inherited from my Mum so I have never learnt.
Re hay fever, I got some Morrison’s own brand ‘allergy relief’ tablets at the weekend. You can take them every four hours but I am only needing to take one a day. I think they were £1.99 for 30 tablets.
My plus account runs out 11th July too. I will be paying up again (even if I have to delay it a little while till the end of the month) I look at it over the year and as long as it’s worth me paying then I will keep it going.
I’ll be back in a bit with a listing but I’ve just taken delivery of some more yarn so need to sort that out first.
Hello All, I think I have managed to scare the birds off for now, I strung some old CD’s on string and am currently eating a bag of toffee’s just so I can make another shiny bird scarer. Honest! lol @silverspiral luckily they seem to be leaving my apples alone so far. Paul thinks we should adopt a sparrow hawk lol @Knittingtopia those morrisons tablets sound good. I’ll give them a try
I’ve got 3 listings today. I had fun making these ones
A new listing from me today, A sterling silver tie tack set with a lovely amethyst cabochon
Not sold any tie tacks on Folksy as yet, but you never know…
Jax @silverspiral sadly my husband earns well below the national average, but somehow we seem to get by. Even if we had enough ready cash to buy a larger home, I don’t think we could afford to run it!
Liz @lizdyson Was it you who used to soak whole, fresh fleeces in the bath? I can remember someone on the thread who used to do that.
Carol @Knittingtopia loving your pistachio wool - just my colour.
Hi, Jaqueline, yes it was me who blogged about washing and dying a whole fleece - what a lot of effort, I won’t be doing that again anyway as my spinning wheel and my drum carder have both been sold this week as part of the clearing out process.
Oops, must dash or I’ll be late for my first call.
