Love, Favourite and Subscribe - What do they do?

Hi, Please could Folksy explain exactly what happens for both the customer and the shop owner when customers click on one of the buttons:

  • Love this item
  • Favourite Shop
  • Subscribe to shop feed
    I’ve tried it out on other shops, but its hard to work out.
    Subscribe just gives me a page of XML.

When you look at the folksy home page once you’ve signed in you will see Hello X, Favourites, your dashboard across the top of the screen. If you click on the favourites option the page it brings up has items you’ve recently ‘loved’ at the top, then shops you have ‘favourited’ and then a selection of new items from your favourited shop underneath that. When you love an item or favourite a shop the seller would get a notification on their shop activity tab on the dashboard.
Never known the subscribe to shop feed thing to work.

Thanks. So if someone favourites my shop, they only see a selection of new items, if they log in and choose to go looking for them …
There is also an email (monthly ?) from ‘Folksy Finds’ which shows a picture of one item, does this go to all customers who have favourited the shop, every month ?
I was thinking I could leave a message about it in my shop, but would like to be able to tell people what to expect.
