Hiya - is anyone else having this today. I’m sure it wasn’t there yesterday. It’s on both my laptop and phone. Have I missed an upgrade/change, or is it an error?
Instead of the usual section in my listings that shows timescales and cost to the customer’s own region, it’s now showing just a box of delivery costs - including highlighting the areas I don’t ship to . The timescale for making and shipping isn’t showing at all - which is problematic as many of my items have longer lead times.
I think this must be connected with the work Folksy are doing in the background on shipping. I think it was in the monthly update that I saw a piece about it. You might want to drop a line to support to let them know your concern, just in case they aren’t aware of the impact it’s having on the’ time to ship’ aspect
Yes I am seeing the same thing and I am guessing it is to make it easier for visitors to quickly see if you ship to their country or not… Although I could be wrong and it could just be a glitch.
I’ve got that too, I like that it’s easier for people to see whether you ship to them or not but that’s a good point about the timescale, I’ll have to add that in somewhere else and hope people will see it!
@OutOfCornwall If you leave the postage cost blank for those locations when you set up your listing, the system automatically knows you won’t post there. Just don’t put £0 - that will allow orders for those countries and you won’t get postage costs.
I don’t remember seeing it today when I listed 2 bears in my shop, will have another look but a great idea as it means we don’t have to cancel any orders that may come in from areas we don’t post to.
Ooh yes it must have been added this afternoon…brilliant !
I find it quite confusing that all my listings now show that I don’t ‘Deliver’ to anywhere except the UK. I don’t actually deliver to the UK either. I ship / despatch and the post man delivers !
Still need Northern Ireland in the list of does not deliver here, if you don’t want to deliver there because of the new General Product Safety Regulation that replaces the old regulations on 13th December, as Northern Ireland is part of the EU
Yes I stand corrected yet it has to abide by the EU rules, so the GPSR is require for items being sent there, thats why on on the ‘€bay’ you can now exclude NI from the list where to deliver to
