Hi all, hope you all are having busy time of the year!
I,on the other hand, have plenty of time! No I am not here to moan. I know I have started recently and have to be patient still cant help wondering what am I doing wrong.
I sorted my postage.
I have sorted out my photos( thanks to lovely folksy community here) got them all square so no more half pictures.
I made the sections as one of you had suggested.
I have featured some items.
Trying to be active on Facebook and Instagram.
While reading the forums(lots of timeš) got to know about using relist function so have done that too
Still not many views let alone sales. Makes you start wondering if your products are good enough.
Have favourited some of your items and I see you have some sales. Took me nearly 3 months for first sale and still not exactly flying off the shelves! It takes time, but seems like youāve made a promising start. Your photos look good by the way. Best of luck.
Your designs are definitely good enough to sell. Your photos are nice and clear. Yes things are a bit strange all round at the moment and I think thatās unsettling for a lot of people, but just stick with it and most of all believe in yourself
Iāve just visited your shop. Your pieces are lovely. I think itās just a matter of time before you get some more sales. Just make sure you keep up with the social media stuff. If can feel like a slog to post and engage regularly but it is worth it.
My sales are slow too. The last thing I sold was in November but, you know, I love it. I love what I make and I love every sale
I think (hope) it is just a case of being patient. I re-opened my shop in November and was excited to get a sale at the weekend. I do think you have to work hard on your listings/photos and on social media too which does not come easy to me. Your photos and the pieces themselves look great so I hope you get some sales soon.
I have just favourited your shop and now follow you on instagram. Took me ages to get sales too but i found the social media side and the forums do help. I didnāt find any of that easy but i have a teenage daughter who insists i do it.
Hang on in there because your items are wonderful.
Good luck.
Hi @Kalptaru I looked at your shop, and yo!!! From Norwich - I am in Dereham, Norfolk, and love Norwich Shopping. (Or did before Covid)
@SadesCreations says that she has followed you on Instagram. Maybe, if you linked your Folksy Shop to Instagram it may help, as people arenāt going to ālookā for you otherwise. People have busy schedules nowadays. And also, when I clicked your Facebook link I noticed that your Page takes me to the dark side; the E Shop. You are probably not getting noticed at all on Folksy because of that. And try Pinterest tooā¦I will follow you on Instagram if I can find you, plus Pinterest.
There is nothing at all wrong with your listings, or photos, so I think the above must be the problem - people just canāt find your Folksy Website. - you have one review, and am sure with a few tweaks here and there you will get even more.
Hi fellow Norwicher(if there is such word) ,thanks a lot for your input. I have linked my Facebook page which is also called Madaboutbeads. And I have mentioned both shops there,Folksy and Etsy. So I am surprised that it is taking you to Etsy shop. But will look into it. I have put my Instagram link in my profile just now. Hope that will do something. I need to look up Pinterest ,never used it. But then I am learning so many things for this online venture! Thanks againšš¼
I have followed you on Instagram. Although it still only says the E site. There is a programme out there called Link Treeā¦ you can then add two platforms.
I am trying to get my head around the concept of Pinterest and have failed. I have created account. Created some pins. But donāt understand how it helps with your jewellery business. Tried YouTube but was lost after few minutes! Any advice where I can learn about Pinterest please? Thank you.
