North Wales Holiday! Any recommendations? :)

Yes the ice cream shop is still there, we went there last year.

If you have a sense of adventure and a head for heights you could try Zip World Snowdonia.
If you like nature go osprey watching at the Glaslyn Osprey Project which is near to Beddgelert.

lol Christine @coatimundi I know that post office  It only opens when it feels like it, but it’s all they have there as you have to walk miles to catch the bus and you are lucky if that sticks to the timetable
@Inglivintage OH and I went to see the Ospreys last year, it was brilliant.

Jayne, if Zip World is what I think it is, I’ll give it a miss ( I’m more the “eat an ice cream sitting down” type! ) We went to see the osprey a few years back but there’d had been a bad storm and their nest was wrecked. Shame. Thanks for reminding me, though. I may give it another try, although I wonder if they’ll still be around if they’ve finished their breeding for the year. Donna, we usually go on holiday in out of the way places, so I’m a connoisseur of village shops! This one is probably top of my best worst list!

Did you go to Church Bay whilst you were there Christine? It’s a lovely area with nice beaches and plenty of ice cream  :icecream:

We have just come back from a short walking break, we walked some of the coastal path on Anglesey to see the Church In the Sea near Aberffraw, on the mainland we walked up to see Aber Falls near llanfairfechan and there is a nice easy path up to the most stunning waterfalls, again on Anglesey we were amazed by Parys Mountain - what a strange landscape that is, and we intend to do Zip World when my arm is mended. I hope you have a lovely holiday.

On our holiday last year we noticed there was a place called “The Blue Lake” that was rated very highly on Tripadvisor for attractions in North Wales. There aren’t any official guides on how to get there yet (as far as I know) but we followed the directions on this blog and we’re really glad we did http://www.tywynholidays.co.uk/blog/blue-lake/.
It’s becoming a bit of a well known “secret” now but when we went last year it was fairly deserted and we spent a fantastic couple of hours there swimming in the cool water.

It’s a shame I didn’t see your post before I left, Stephan @TheTinMan. We went to Fairbourne yesterday! I enjoyed my (very windy) walk down the beach, but a blue lake would have been a bonus! Some of the other suggestions were a bit too far North from where we were, but we did go and see the osprey. The three chicks are quite large now, and about to take flight. I also discovered this Art Nouveau church in the village where we were staying…

The weather wasn’t great, though!
