Brenda
Hope you soon get noticed and in the favourites soon, 6 years is a achievement
Christine many thanks for the kind words
I think the whole Folksy Favourites thing is a bit of a mystery. Anyway with 400 sales you must be doing something right! Many congratulations! Your shop is lovely - Iāve just favourited it.
Many thanks Helen I love your Christmas heart decorations
Iāve been here three years and never made it to the front page or even the Cards and Stationery page except when one of my fellow Folksy sellers favourited one of my cards. I look on the Cards page every day and see the same shops coming up time and again. Hey ho, Iāve just renewed my Plus Account so I guess Iām here for the duration.
Jeanie
there are threads on here sometimes for suggestions for different gift guides I have managed to get into a couple by joining in the thread, this is a good way to get into one of the gift guides.
Hi Hollieeclles when I click on your shop cart in the thread above it can not find your shop, perhaps you could check it out. Rachel
Thanks for that Valerie.
And yes, Hollieeccles I canāt find you shop either when I click on Curious Magpie above.
Jeanie
Oh ! I feel so much better now having read your post and all the positive replies! I have only recently opened my shop and was wondering if there was a magic formula in order to get included in the FF! Congratulations on your 400 sales, you are doing things just right!
Many thanks your shop is lovely
@folksycontent Camila I have reported the link to my shop not working but as you can see from this thread I am not the only one with this issue. Rachel
I know you definitely have been in the Folksy Favourites at least once recently, Valerie. I think the most recent time it was one of your resin pendants, possibly this one.
One of the reasons we introduced the events notifications is so that everyone can now see when theyāve been included as they do change regularly and sometimes sellers will have missed them. Hopefully that will help everyone spot when theyāve been favourited, not just by us but by everyone else too.
It is hard for us to see everyone so we have different ways of finding people. We use the forums, the (new) new shops feature, Twitter, Instagram, recently listed, searches, and new items from our favourite sellers feed, so we are always on the lookout!
My apologies Camilla if I have been in folksy favourites, I do look on the folksy favourite quite often and canāt see how I missed it only thing I can think of there was one very similar which sold and properly was not in there long enough for me too see
Val
Thanks for your compliment about my new shop, a real confidence booster!
@jenniesgems youāre now up to over 500 salesā¦ wow! As everyone has said before, youāre definitely doing something right!
Iām also feeling the same as you (were!)ā¦ Though I thought I would check through the gift guides and see if I found any of my itemsā¦ And I did! I wasnāt aware they were there, which was a nice surprise. Unfortunately, I donāt think itās lead to any more views.
Iām also feeling a little disheartened. I tag Folksy on Instagram, Twitter, write on their Facebook page, have tagged them in the forums (only once though!), added gift guides on Pinterest etc and have never gotten a response. Just to clarify, I donāt do that everyday of course (far from it!), I wouldnāt want to spam them! But then it does make me question my items?! Which is probably silly, as I know they canāt respond to everyone, and nor will everyone like my items, haha!
Iām just rambling now, so Iāll stop! Good luck with your shopā¦ Though I donāt think you need it!
Hi @SophiesHandmadeBabyBoutique really sorry you feel like we havenāt noticed you - we have!. We get tagged in 100ās of tweets every day where people are sharing their latest listing and then add us on, itās hard for us to retweet them all and Twitter would probably block our account if we did! - we do try to keep an eye and add things to guides and share when we can.
Have you joined in with Folksy hour before? Itās on Tuesdays at 8pm and we all chat about topics to help boost sales.
Your work is featured in a number of guides too! Have you looked on your dashboard, you should get an email once week with your Folksy activity to show you this.
For example this one is in our gifts for girls guide
Sorry if we missed your Pinterest gift guide - did you use the form, we canāt find a response on our database?
Do get in touch if youād like help with anything!
Thanks,
Hilary
Thanks for taking the time to respond @HilaryP.
Ah yes, I noticed earlier today that I was in a few gift guides, which was a nice surprise! I donāt remember getting the notification and itās not on my dashboard now but I think it only shows the past 30 days?
Regarding the Pinterest boards, I did use the form and submitted a few I think. Though it was a while back now, perhaps when you first started making them? I also mentioned one on the forum in the section about the Pinterest guide yesterday, but the one I was referring to was more of a wish list and wasnāt sure if that was suitable!
Iāve never joined in with Folksy hourā¦ I think I would find it quite difficult to keep up! But I will definitely give it a go
Hi Sophie
Your shop looks lovely, love Joey Giraffe. I donāt think you need to question your items as they are all lovely and pictures look brilliant
I only promote on Facebook have been trying to get to grips with Pinterest for some time have only tried to put a couple of items on there as still unsure what I am doing.
I have been on folksy for just under 4 years now and the first year or so was very slow with sales.
Thank you very much @jenniesgems!
I generally use Facebook too, thatās where 99% of my sales happen! Instagram is another favourite, though Iāve only got a few sales there. But there are so many pretty things on there you canāt help but love it!
Iām going to work on adding more stock now, so hopefully that will help!
Have a lovely evening!
