I found one of the charms on Ebay from China (oops sorry, should I say from somewhere abroad) at £1 for 20 incluidng postage.
If you do find something then I would imagine if you report it to Admin with a relevant link to where you have seen it elsewhere wholesale they would find that really useful.
( ahem ‘lockets’ … you may well weep…)
I found some for sale from the states for about the same amount so they should be gone soon, the evidence is building up and its not in their favour. And WittyDawn is right, I do tend to send a link when I email them reporting things, it does help.
Sasha
Right then. Found the link - took 2 seconds to find ‘20 tibetan “mioaw” charms’ and reported it.
If it’s the one I’ve just reported Sasha the it’s ‘unique’ charms are being sold in mixed packs on a certain auction site
Ok - just to stir the pot a bit…lets move over to furniture!
I thought long and hard before posting this as I don’t want to be seen as picking on what may well be a perfectly legit and valid shop but am just using it as an example to see what others think and to demonstrate how hard it must be for Folksy (or anyone else) to draw the line.
There is a shop on here that sells a certain item of furniture (one you may sleep on!)- now they are made in UK, designed in UK and “hand crafted” in UK by skilled craftsmen - seems to fit into the Folksy T&C’s. There are 50 of each type/size available so ?mass produced. Doesn’t necessarily fit into Folksy as I see it but can’t see that they are breaking any rules.
So I got a bit nosy, and tried looking up the item(s) Roz @OrchardFelts mentioned above, which wasn’t difficult to be honest and came across one said item (among hundreds!). Well, I agree with you Roz, the quantity is a tad suspicious and the price is HIGH, especially for a fairly basic design. And then I read the details, stating its ‘hardwood’, but when reading the inspiration section the materials stated are quality Scandinavian pine - isn’t pine a softwood, or am I being extra thick today??
Are they made to order Roz @OrchardFelts? I noticed a few shops that mass-listed items over the free-listing weekend, so they may have just put up that many to take advantage of the free listings and that allows them to make as many as are ordered. I can’t see any reason why they wouldn’t be allowed. Small batch production is legit, but what constitutes small?
Quite right Scandinavian pine is a soft wood not a hardwood. You can dent it then use water and steam to plump it back into shape. I’ve done it myself with a Scandinavian cupboard we bought then damaged as we moved it into place.
Should Michael Kors bags from China be listed on Folksy???
No, I’ve reported it, but they cleverly list them in the evening, knowing they won’t be taken down until tomorrow. I wonder how many they’ll sell in the meantime!
Hadn’t thought of that Christine @ciesse, I have no objection to them listing on here - didn’t actually read the description in too much detail - my point was really when does a handmade item become a non handmade item! I’m sure there are plenty of items that are put together by hand en masse in a “factory” type setting - are they handmade? Just as an aside - I’m not too sure how many people would think of looking on a handmade craft site like Folksy when buying a bed, but if they think its worth listing…
Hi Valerie, sorry this is off topic, but I love the purses I bought from your shop, my nieces will love them too! Beautiful quality and hand made Will leave feedback tonight!

I’ve reported it too! The shop describes itself as a “brand shop”!
Thank you so much Natalie . Glad you like them x
I can’t find anything!!!
Look for Michael x
Try “BAF” - a rather obvious example of the standard of the listing.
Lol! Made and designed in China!! Not even a Brit!!! how come its still there??? So funny, so out of place!! Anymore, do we just copy and paste and email Folksy then??
I think a few of us have reported it
