Is anyone having trouble pinning your new listings, I used to be able to use share button on iPad and it transferred the details as well as images,

when in Pinterest now it’s just an image with visit website no details, I’ve not changed the way I share so I find this puzzling

I think this is something that changed with the latest Mac update. At least if it has a link people can refer to the original listing to view details.

When you use the iPad share sheet to pin from apps like Folk (or Folksy), the missing description is caused by recent structural changes in how Pinterest pulls and displays text metadata. [1, 2, 3, 4]

How to Fix or Work Around It

1. Pin Directly via the Pinterest App or Website (Most Reliable)

Instead of using the iPad’s share arrow button inside the Folk app, copy the item link and create the pin from within the Pinterest native app or a browser: [1, 2]

  1. Copy the URL of your post from Folk.
  2. Open the Pinterest app.
  3. Tap the + (Create) icon and select Pin.
  4. Choose the web link option, paste the URL, and let Pinterest pull the image. This bypasses iOS extension bugs and allows you to manually add your keyword-rich description. [1, 2, 3]

2. Flip Your iPad to Portrait Mode

An ongoing glitch specifically targets the iPad version of Pinterest. If your iPad is locked or resting in landscape mode, the layout often breaks and completely hides titles, descriptions, and comments. Physically rotating your iPad to Portrait mode often forces the layout to refresh and bring the text boxes back. [1, 2]

3. Verify via Desktop

To check if the description is truly missing or just hidden by the iPad app, log into Pinterest via a desktop browser. If the descriptions show up next to the image on your computer, the data is safe—the issue is entirely a temporary mobile display bug
