@kernowclaire You can still do it if it is a new listing, I did this morning on a couple of things that I listed but you can only do it straight after listing as it then disappears.
@NorthernSilversmith congratulations on your sale

I’m not sure how true it is but I’m sure I heard somewhere that if you spend time on Instagram interacting with posts it also boosts your own posts a little, so this could be a win/win for everyone who joins in.
It could be. If someone comments on a post, there’s a chance that new people will see their comment, and they might click to see who they are/what they do!
I know I’ve done it! x
I’ve followed too. ![]()
Am following on Insta ![]()
Congrats and well done! Hopefully it’s the first of many ![]()
Pinned (just started using my Pinterest account again, even though I don’t have a clue how it works anymore!
). What a gorgeous card ![]()
And thank you Maddie for introducing me to @GeorginaCrawfordArt cards - I had to treat myself too! ![]()
Also now shared on IG Debbie Seton (@the_crimson_rabbit) • Instagram photos and videos
I’m sure I would have said something like that before but not because of anything to do with the Insta algorithm - much more to do with the people algorithm - the more you connect with others, the more they connect with you ![]()
In my experience, playing silly likes for likes and constantly posting salesy things doesn’t wash on Instagram - you have to be genuinely interested and engaged with others to make it really successful. ![]()
Thanks very much for doing this. It really would be awesome if we could also have a hashtag on Instagram that is dedicated to this project so that everyone taking part could use and also follow the hashtag and see the posts coming up in their feeds (or easily find them on a search if the algorithm isn’t playing ball).
Personally, although I’m trying to keep on top of what’s going on in the forums and try to do my bit in the community, I find going through everything really time consuming and a bit clunky. A hashtag would really help my inner process monkey ![]()
Ok so I’ve made my Instagram post, I’ve tried to find the ‘link’ so I can share it here but I’m just not seeing it when I click on those three dots??? How do I save it please so I can post it here?
Or as others have said can we have a specific hashtag in case people don’t come onto the forum?
When you click the dots, look at the top half of the menu that pops up and click the bit that says: “we’re moving things around, see where to share and link” and it’ll bring up another menu at the bottom where you can “copy link” ![]()
I think that’s why I hadn’t used Instagram much because there seemed too much game playing when I tried it, people just wanting lots of followers. I really enjoy getting to know people, that’s the whole point of social media for me.
Thanks for the info, I didn’t realize that. I’ll try to keep an eye out with my next listing, thanks
