Folksy have a lovely post this morning featuring Wild Flowers and asking ‘Which wildflower is your favourite?’ If everyone could comment, it would help push the post far and wide.
It nice to see so many social media posts this week using the Canvas templates and the hashtag for the Beautiful Bundles event.
Would be good if we all reap the benefit over the weekend
Yes there are some lovely very proffesional looking images. The Canva templates have really helped. I think I still need to improve on my photos and spend some time on my descriptions etc to try and improve my overall shop. Still going to be doing my folksyfiveaday though. I also need to educate myself on how to make the most of Pinterest. Oh and make more!!
Folksy’s post this morning is for the Beautiful Bundles event this weekend. Please like it, comment on it, share it, whatever you can do to get it seen to make it a successful weekend for everyone. xxx
I’ve just been on IG and searched #folksybeautifulbundles, at the moment just 79 posts came up and so I’ve liked them all (even my own ). About 50 came up on FB so I liked all those too but what I really want to say is how beautiful everyone’s work looks!
I’ve created a Pinterest board for the Beautiful Bundles event: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/rosesworkshop/beautiful-bundles-gift-sets-on-folksy/
What a great idea
OOO, just seen this on FB and shared it, thank you! Will be back later to share some more posts
Sharing is Caring today because the Beautiful Bundles event is all set up, but we need to let everyone know about it. Folksy have lovely posts on their social media, all we have to do is give them likes, comments or shares to boost the reach. On FB yesterday, Folksy’s post had 11 shares, pretty good but I reckon we could do better than that today. I probably sound like I’m nagging, but increased customer visits will benefit everybody, not just those taking part in the event. #folksybeautifulbundles #folksy5aday I hope everyone has a good weekend xxx
Well it seemed like a good idea, but the “Pin and Tweet” a new listing function seems to have vanished again today
The buttons still come up for me (on Chrome) but if you’re not getting them it may help to install a browser extension. Many browsers are starting to come with share buttons included now (particularly on phones/tablets), but for those that don’t you can often get an extension either designed to work for one particular platform (such as the Pin It button) or for sharing to multiple platforms (such as AddToAny on Chrome).
Folksy haven’t done anything to remove or alter the share buttons on new listings recently, but one of the reasons the share buttons had been removed from general listings was because they’re so unreliable. They have to work across so many different browsers, and a simple update to either a browser or the platform can stop them working for some people. This is why the browser specific extensions are usually more reliable and are recommended to be used instead, because they’re designed for that specific browser (and sometimes by the platform), so they’re more up to date with any changes.
Also, my Instagram has gone back to not showing “most recent” in a hashtag search, but only “top posts” or “recent top posts”, neither of which are chronological, so I can’t find everyone’s new posts easily anymore.
That means it’ll be a lot easier for me to interact with links that are shared here, rather than relying on the hashtag.
I’ve noticed that on insta, it is quite annoying as i know I will have missed a lot of todays posts
@CrochetandI I’ve switched to checking on the website version now but I’m worried this is going to disappear soon too if they’ve removed it from the app (hopefully it’s just a test that will fail ).

Today’s Facebook post from Folksy promoting the event could do with a little more interaction - Folksy - Today is our last day to shop the Beautiful... | Facebook
And one for TikTok if anyone’s on there - Shop gift sets full of handmade lovr on Folksy this weekend only 🤩 Gl... | TikTok
TikTok posts can’t be done as often because they require video content, but that could reach a completely different audience to Instagram and Facebook if any of the posts get enough interaction.
@konyskiw Visited both links. I’m rubbish on tiktok but then I’m rubbish at videos
@CrochetandI Same here, but it doesn’t help that Instagram reels make my phone freeze, I’ve got no chance on a video filled platform until I can get a new one.
What was perplexing was that it worked fine on Friday, but not on Saturday. I hadn’t changed anything on my laptop in between. The three pins I had managed to do had zero saves anyway.
Its very annoying that insta have taken away the option to sort by most recent. So when searching #folksy5aday you can’t get the latest listed at the top. So I’m not ignoring post’s its just been harder to find todays
Agree, so annoying.
