Relisting items friends buy

Hi everyone, just about to open my shop but still trying to get my head round some things. If a friend buys an item outwith the shop, can I relist a n identical item without being charged 18p as long as within expiry date? Its only 18p but helpful to know. Thanks, LG x

No, you cannot avoid getting charged. Once someone buys your item, it will go out of stock with 0 in the quantity field. To relist it, you will need to go to the specific listing, and change the quantity from 0 to 1. You will get charged once you press update. The only way of not getting charged for a listing is to get the plus subscription. I hope it helps x

Thanks for confirming that. I’ve only listed 3 items so far & I’ve been charged 15p each but I thought the first 3 listings were free!?!

If you sell it outside FOLKSY and you have a direct replacement no need to do anything. Leave your listing as it is. No extra charge applies.
Ps you are charged by qty so a qty of two counts as two fees

Yes I got caught out with that. I had someone going to buy one of my items (not online) and so I reduced the stock to 0, then they changed their minds and wanted another item. So i went to adjust it back to 1 in stock and it charged me again. I’m used to Etsy where you can reduce stock and put it back again if you have paid for the listing.

Check in your dashboard, if the charge appears on your bill. It might be as 0 there. I cannot remember how it had appeared when I opened mine, so I won’t be too much of a help there. If there is a charge appearing there and you do get charged on the 1st November, then contact support and they will probably refund it x

Can you remake it quickly? I wonder if you can change the delivery time on the item? I’m taking your message that your friend bought the item privately which means you don’t currently have one available to sell. If you can make one quickly enough, by changing g the delivery timescale you wouldn’t have to do a relist, at least that’s what I’m thinking. I could be wrong.

Oh I took it as it was done through the shop, that’s why I tried to explain the quantity change in the listing once someone buys an item! :woman_facepalming:
In the case it was done outside Folksy, and you can replace the physical item or you have already a replacement, then leave it as it is. You can also go to your dashboard, then click on the “manage listings” link which is on your “Active Listings” info square, and you can select the specific listing and “hide it”. When your replacement is ready, you can “return to sale”, and you don’t get charged (just tried with two of mine and I didn’t get charged).
