Resin help

Any resin artists that can help me out. Hubby wasted resin all over the bedroom carpet and quilt. Any tips on removing? I’ve banned him from using it indoors now.

What sort of resin (eg 2 part epoxy) and how dried in is it now?
My first instinct is to heat it up (hot air gun if you’ve got one) and then scrape as much of the softened resin out of the carpet before moving on to using solvents to dissolve out the rest. Acetone and IPA are always my go to solvents but my OH works in a lab so I’m not sure how easy they are to get hold of for non chemist types!
The quilt I’d take to a cleaners and let them deal with it.

Thanks Sasha. He used paint thinners, which I think is acetone based, certainly smells like it. I scraped off as much as I could and washed it with soapy water. Looking a bit better.

I work with resin, and acetone is what you need. However, it probably won’t get it out of whatever you have spilled it on if it’s cured. Epoxy gives off toxic fumes, even the ones without VOCs. This can settle over all surfaces so be careful where you use it.
