I have just had a lovely message from one of my US customers with pics of 2 bears that she ordered back in August then totally forgot about…they have been on an around the world trip and finally reached their destination today ! ROYAL MAIL SNAIL MAIL or should I say Royal mail fail mail …and this was before the strikes …

I am going to start sending to the USA but haven’t done so since Brexit. I have an EORI number all sorted out but do I need to add a copy of the receipt on the outside in a clear envelope? I have seen this somewhere but can’t see anything on Royal mail about this just the customs label? Not sure if that was just for the EU. Bit rusty… thanks x

Oh my word! I thought Evri leaving my parcel in my garage that doesn’t exist was bad.

Hi Claire,

No need for any of that :slightly_smiling_face: I’ve been sending to the US for years and find it by far the easiest overseas territory to send to with a usually very reliable and quick service from RM.

I mostly use International Standard and sometimes Tracked, which I buy via click and drop. I complete the customs info on click and drop then print the CN22 with the postage label and they’re the only things I stick on the package. If you’re buying your postage at the PO, you just need a roll of CN22 forms, write one out and stick that on, job done.

If only posting to Europe was so easy! :hushed:

@thecrimsonrabbit thanks so much for the info, I really appreciate it. I was waiting for Royal mail to sort their international postage problems out first, so I will now try again. Thanks x
