Also striking this Friday 30th Sept and Saturday 1st October from what I can see

Evri won’t be getting my business that’s for sure. I hate it when I order online then I get the email saying it’s being delivered by Evri as we’ve had problems every time. Changing from Hermes to Evri did not improve their service.

I’ve also seen 30th Sept and 1st Oct.

I didn’t realise there would be so many dates on the run up to Christmas, am I right in thinking different departments will be striking on different days? so no processing on the 3rd but will still get deliveries and no deliveries on 4th but they’ll still be in the sorting office?

This is so frustrating! I’ve already had one parcel been delayed for 3 weeks, I had to send a replacement and send it tracked.
I know the reasons why they are striking it but it is really having a knock on detrimental effect on us small businesses. I feel embarassed having to explain why some parcels are taking longer than normal because I wonder if the customer fully understands that it’s really not down to my incompetence.
How many potential customers are just ordering straight from amazon for quickly needed gifts because they know they will definitely turn up in time?

Sorry, I don’t usually rant and more often than not support strike action but times are tough for everyone. If we can’t get our products out to customers in a timely fashion, they will end up going elsewhere. :sleepy: :grimacing:

I agree Sarah, it is crippling for small businesses relying on online sales. Timing couldn’t be worse.

Thank you for the update.

I much prefer to use Royal Mail, but if they don’t come to some agreement and get these strikes lifted I will have to look elsewhere - on the assumption that anyone is buying by then anyway.

I totally agree with you.

Has anyone noticed any more delays with royal mail recently.
I’ve got three parcels missing that I posted on the 11th of June just wondering if any one knows of any delays?

I’ve not had any issues personally, but I’ve heard mutterings that Royal Mail are having staffing difficulties in some areas of the country which has caused some delays. Hopefully it’s only temporary.

Thanks Chris - I’ve just contacted the two other customers and I’ll see if their parcels are missing still!

I’m a big fan of Royal Mail - only use their services and am happy to say I haven’t had any problems with delays recently (or at all!). I post approx 50 packages a week (only one folksy sale over the past 2 months by the way) and all have arrived safely and on time. Maybe I’ve been lucky with areas posted to though! . . .

Phew - the two other parcels have arrived, so it’s just the one missing parcel!
