Shipping fees

Hi there. Im Sharon a newby seller on Folksy.
Great to be here.
Im wondering about shipping ive a few items in my shop so far and have added shipping fees. The thing im curious about is what has everyone done about added extra if a customer wants to add something else to their cart how does that work in shipping fees.

I put the first fee as the actual cost to send the item, then the second fee as 50p. Folksy will always pick the higher postage fee if a customer buys multiple items then add the extra.

My policy is to refund any postage that may be more than it actually costs to send. One of my reviews complimented me on the fact my postage was correct and not inflated.
