A busy day for me today yet I have managed to compete stage 2 of my cufflinks. Wood prepared, designs sketched onto the blanks, and now the fun begins - pyrography and painting.

WIP.
Cuff links are illustrated and have had their first coat of varnish. 24 hrs drying time before a second coat can be applied. A good day’s work me thinks.
I definitely can’t work out what you are making there GrimmExhibition but I can’t wait to find out.

Hi everyone,
Mostly on my folksy account I sell beaded jewellery but since graduating in the summer just gone I have tried to keep going with my silversmithing. I started making this ring but this is as far as I have got. I was planning to set stones in each of the tubes but there is just something magical about how it looks right now that I can’t complete it.
Maybe I will one day

I rarely have time to come on the chat these days but this particular WIP has been in progress for a few months but only because I started it and then life kind of kept taking over and I couldn’t get back to this as I really need to concentrate when making this particular design and so I had to resort to making other, easier things or preparing fleece for spinning and then spinning my own yarn, which I can still do with world war three breaking out in the house. I actually started this on 16th November and I reached the half way point last Friday and then I have pretty much completed the entire second half this past week, just a bit more to do. I have actually started the border on the other end and hope to finish on Monday!

Ive been soldering all morning and just got on with a skirt Id been meaning to make for ages. Ive used box pleats as I learned how to do them recently. Waistbands a bit baggy but I can take it in. I wanted to add pockets made with a lace hanky, not sure if il add them or not.

I’ve been making these just lately and they may even appear in my shop towards the end of the year ready for the festive season.
