Hi,
I would like to invite you all to join this ‘Work in progress’ blog. I find it fascinating to see the creative process in action. You don’t have to reveal any of your ‘crafty’ secrets. Seeing different stages of how creative people work gives a personality to your products. I have done this regularly on Facebook and have had very positive feedback. I would also like to invite Folksy to join in and publish the ‘Works in progress’ of its faithful shops.
I start by posting a photo of my latest pendant finally painted. I now have to wait for drying, then varnishing, then signing, then attaching the pendant findings.
Enjoy.
Blimey you must have a very steady hand Michael! I love the colours you’ve used, it gives it a Spanish feel and reminds me of holidays!
I’m in the process of doing a Guinea Fowl for a friends anniversary gift to her husband. Here I am sewing feathers on it’s bum!
Im planning on making a day of the dead keepsake doll, and also another bird box with different, more modern décor(which is tough for me as Im a Victorian/Edwardian kinda gal)
Can I add a “work not in progress” to this? I failed in this batch to put the ‘attaching to the rest of the world’ holes to these planets. Hence the need for the foxy wine. You live and you learn…Next!

This past week I’ve been working on fairy colouring sheets, here’s another, nearly finished, then on to printing etc;
Hi …i’m working on another Briar Rose design for a new double large canvas. Laying out the design first before transferring on to the 2 canvas’s.
I’d love to see a pic of the upright Guinea fowl- I have 2 that visit me, they are such characters
The friend I’m making if for has a pet one (as well as other fowl) that follows her around. I shall post a finished photo here when done so you can see
Hi,
Thanks to all who have joined in the WIP blog. Really interesting posts that add a story to the final shop products. It would be great if Folksy would publicise our ‘Work In Progress’ to potential customers outside Folksy. I am sure if they saw the crafting behind our products then they would be inspired to shop here and not on the High Street.
I have posted the beginnings of another pendant - ‘Deep Blue Sea’. Pyrographic illustration complete it is now time to start painting (well, after a cup of coffee).
Wow, what a fantastic shop, I love your hand painted designs!
Im hopefully going to fit this large glittered egg into one of my glass bird boxes, and a couple of new bird boxes mid make.
Im also working on a day of the dead keepsake doll, just waiting for glitter to arrive.
Lovely thanks
