Hi everyone i have a slight dilemma regarding a mould i bought to use. Its a beautiful shape and size but not quite right when demoulded if you can see in the centre it shows the shape of the support structure from underneath.. i would like to make more but do you think people will buy with this issue.. the mould isn’t faulty its just when you put casting powder mineral in it
Is that the finished product? If I were a buyer, it looks to me like it has a fault in it but I’d also say it sounds like the mould is faulty too. X

It does look like it didn’t come out right to me, if you want me to be honest I wouldn’t buy it unless listed and priced as faulty. Don’t forget, buyers don’t always know the process and the reasons why, they shouldn’t be expected to. I personally only use small moulds for clay, but I wouldn’t be happy with a mould leaving a mark like this.

The mould looks ok but obviously it is not due to the finished product.. yes it is a finished piece, i understand what people would think i just wanted opinions
i can use the tray myself in my own home.. ill send the mould back .. thank you for responding

They can it’s trial and error in some cases.. @Macclesfieldbagworks ive arranged a return for a refund.. ill see if i can get something similar from another supplier

Out of curiosity, the place where you got the mould from, do they show any products made out of it? And if yes, are they with this mark?
These are the photos shown on the site where i bought the mould. After closer inspection obviously not the result i got.. Mina @theslothscavern
Yeah, that looks good, how you would expect it. Either a faulty mould or edited pictures though, and you only get one of the support line, not both, so there is something wrong there. Hope you are getting your money back x
