Hi Everyone,

Which social media sites do you all use? Which have you all found to be the most successful for promoting your Folksy Shop?

Do videos or photos work or a mixture of both?

Anyone just use one social media site to promote.

Instagram is my creative playground. However, l maybe shouldn’t be relying just on one.

I use Instagram and a Facebook page. I am sure it would work for me much better if I engaged with it more. It is so demoralising to put in the effort and get very little reach.

For someone who has no idea how Instagram works (me) this short video is really useful. It explains who sees reels, feed posts and stories, so you can target your audience better.

I only use Instagram, I really don’t like Facebook.
I find people like a mix of items and behind scenes content, I do have to post or interact most days though .
Thinking of upgrading my Pinterest account to try that :slightly_smiling_face:

That video was so good Sharon - very simple to understand. I didn’t actually know that my stories were only shown to my followers but of course that does make sense!

I use mostly Instagram and Facebook but just recently dipped my toes into the Tik Tok waters (only 1 post so far)
I use Pinterest regularly but usually to promote fellow Folksy artists work.

I’m only using Instagram and boosted posts. So far only a few clicks to here. I was using X but got no interactions so am persevering with instagram. My profile is @lyns_weaver
