Never heard of Sloane before Caroline @Caroleecrafts
Goth is a lifestyle, it’s about the music, lifestyle as well as the dress, I’m naturally very pale but mostly always wear black, although when it gets really hot in the summer I might slip a little, but it’s who I am inside so that doesn’t bother me.
I’m a mash up of goth, rock and a little bit witch all thrown in .
For quite a few years I wore mainstream mixed with elements of rock and goth, it didn’t change who I was but i never felt comfortable in what I wore then one day I woke up and decided I was old enough to no longer care what people thought. I wish everyone could be their true self but sadly for many alternative is still often frowned upon and this so called diverse society still has so much hatred and prejudice towards people who are seen as different by those who all look the same.
I can imagine you as ‘romantic’, it really shows in your work which is lovely. I love all the detail in your pieces and the Victorian elegance and nostalgia they share, you have a lovely unique style.
Sloane Rangers generally around the Kings Road and Chelsea. Princess Diana was a Sloane. Round neck jumpers with ruffle blouses underneath.
Oh yes I think I know what you mean now, there are so many different dress styles.
Just looked up magnolia pearl, I love some of the images that came up, I did use to wear some similar bits, it all looks so comfy, carefree and romantic.
Comfy that is the word I like when it comes to clothes. Hate clothe shopping. Also like the Together range.
Does anyone think that having a Plus account looks more attractive to customers?
I wonder whether they would see it as being a popular shop?
I wouldnt expect they even notice to be honest.
Have you seen this @itsatwinthing
Featuring siblings x
I agree with Helen i wouldn’t have thought a customer would notice at all, I can’t see how it would make any difference
I guess as a customer when I see it I immediately think they’re a “preferred” or "super seller’…
I think also because the “plus” notification sort of flags or stands out
Maybe it’s just me
It definitely wouldn’t bother me either way…it would be the product and the quality of the listing that would encourage me to buy. X
I have yes thank you
Linda, @stitchedworks …you have done the right thing by joining in on the challenge thread…it is a great thread with lovely helpful people. It takes time to get to know people but you are doing well xx
Hi Susan, I’ve tagged you in a post on Instagram from #folksysellers asking for any siblings working together on Folksy, take a look because they might feature a piece of your work x
Hi! Thank you for your message
Could do with a bit of attention as our shop isn’t doing well.
We appreciate your support.
Sue & Carol x
You’re very welcome
Thank you, I’ve really enjoyed my first month. @teabreaks
I love the emroidered pictures .and hand made cards i have made some blank hand woven greeting cards on folksy but when i look for hand woven cards on folksy shops i get everything else mostly printed ones and scarves that certainly arent greeting cards etc . Somehow i dont think textiles feature very highly and they are just jumbled in somehow . I get of course much better reception on .facebooks weaving for weavings sake but of course they dont sell there .
I think it has already been suggested that you need to change your listing titles to show what you are actually trying to sell. Why not add Hand Woven Greeting Card to the existing titles so they are more easily found .
I agree with changing the title which i will try with my next one . I did put it in the descrition and i put it in thev right categary and it comes up alll labelled on face book however i cant find either of them anywhere on folksy cards of any kind so i will have to find somecway of getting them on the list somehow .
Plus members of folksy probably dont hand stitch or weave etc all their items .To join plus you would probably have to make things much more quickly such as photocopying card designs etc and not making each one seperatley.
