Still feeling like a newbie

I’m wondering if you entered your tags as one big sentence rather than breaking them up into smaller tags and exceeded the character limit so it didn’t save. Try typing eg handmade card and then hitting enter before you type the next tag.

No the tags were all right this time but not materials or colour . Thiese did take on my older ones .No definatly my machine is deciding to be non cooperative .However when looking on the card shops now its showing far more of the textile ones which makes me feel less alone some lovely embroidered ones.on fabric etc .

How ever if i do need to add more tags ill remember that. Now my next task is to improve my photos colour . Unhelpfull not to see the colours fully . Alas many dyers find this with some of their colours .

Before you start looking at your photos your quickest win is to change the titles of your first 3 listings so they say what the items actually are. Change ‘sheep’ to something more descriptive along the lines of your 4th listing and it will instantly get picked up by people using the search function to look for greetings cards. Right now nobody is going to find it.

I am also a plus member and just about everything in my shop is hand stitched, some taking a week to make, my smaller items 2 days + and they sell regularly, I am a textile artist designing bears and hand embroidered items so I do understand how long things take. Many artists on here have spent years perfecting their work and skills and are both plus and non plus sellers, their level of skill has no reflection on whether they have a plus account or not.
I also have a handful of cards in my shop which I added for people to purchase with a handcrafted bear, they arn’t ‘photocopies’ but are photographs I took of the bears that I designed and created.
You asked for advice I believe on another post and I did take a look at your shop and try to offer advice of how your items may be found and why they hadn’t been featured by Folksy but I just had a look and you don’t seem to have taken it onboard. Honestly, just changing your titles to include the obvious words you need such as ‘greetings card’ or even just card’ would mean yours would show up in a search for a card. There really is no point in asking why your items don’t show if you don’t take it on board. Did you manage to find the emails from setting up that Folksy will have sent you, they help with everything including how to write a good description, titles, tags etc

Yes i will do that in z day or so when my eyes have had a break from screens

Yes i do know how long they take .and realise youve been doing it for a long time. .i have read what everyone says about listing things .however i do have some problems listing some things .Today it said i had to have 80 letters that i needed a few more or a few less . I had to shut it and ttried it another way.and it worked without alll that nonsense.however i will get there .

If you are new just work through the emails that Folksy will have sent you, check your spam if you can’t see them in your inbox, if you still have no luck message Folksy admin and ask them to resend them, they really are worth working through especially if you are encountering problems and need help with listings.

Today the Theme of the Day is Wall hangings, so it is just the opportunity for you to get some exposure for your wall hanging, but you will have to add the tag “wall hanging” for it to be included.
