Still no sales šŸ˜’

Hi Everyone Iā€™ve been so patient & took into consideration what is happening at the moment but Iā€™ve still not had any luck, not 1 single saleā€¦ are my products that awful :frowning: too expensiveā€¦?
Iā€™m now making new things not just Trolls as I want to offer more of a variety & Iā€™m enjoying making different things too!
I am also hoping to change my shop name soon too
Any help or/& advice will be greatly appreciated
I just feel like giving up with the whole trying to sell online thing, I promote all the time IG, Pin, Twitter (donā€™t like FB)
Thanks xx

Hi. I know how you feel as I have a shop on another site that isnā€™t working. I think itā€™s good that youā€™re diversifying and offering different things at a lower price point. Higher priced items always take longer to sell, but I have had things in my shop for 1+ years (on a different site) that have suddenly sold! It only takes that one person to see and fall in love with one of your creations and buy it. Carry on experimenting and try to enjoy developing different ideas and skills (although I know that can be difficult when you want to make sales). Have you tried joining some felting groups on Facebook? They can be supportive and share advice and also get you some added exposure. Keep going and good luck.

Iā€™ve just had my first (small) sale for nearly 3 months, after having sold small but regular amounts before then (open since April).
Make sure you relist daily to help get your listings seen.
PS donā€™t forget Instagram is actually Facebook anyway
Iā€™m afraid its probably just the times weā€™re living in! x

Thank you
Iā€™m not on FB & donā€™t want to be sorry not my thing but thanks for your advice xx

Thank you x

Hi,
Iā€™ve had a look at your shop and donā€™t think the items are overpriced at all and they are certainly not awful!
People buy from Folksy because they know everything is hand made, but this all takes time to produce / photograph and the pricing has to reflect this.

Could it be that you need to look at the tags? As you can have up to 15 per item, maybe add some more and see how that goes?
Good luck and hang in there!
x

Thank you so much it really means a great deal to hear that, Iā€™ll keep @ it
Xx

I am having the same problem. No sales! I have been on folksy since March/April this year. Like you I donā€™t really like social media. I have never seen the point in it but a lot of people use it so I think we both need to look at using it and fingers crossed we will get some sales. GOOD LUCK!

@colourburstjewellery your shop looks nice. Just not a lot of items and perhaps closeup photos may help. I also suggest that you try to be part in folksy forum( eg 365 days) one where there is a very supportive group of folksy sellers. Look around to shops that sell similar products and check them out. Good luck
(My shop is still very new and I have added daily a new item. Sold a few so far)
Every month there is a chat and show of our new listings via: Folksy 365 - Daily Listing Challenge Thread December 2020!
It is worth a try

@ChameleonTrolls nice shop with categories. Also not enough items for people to browse. Try to add a new item frequently. Also look into ā€œjoiningā€ the:
Folksy 365 - Daily Listing Challenge Thread December 2020! Or the next one in January. Good luck!

Thanks. I will put some more items on my page as soon as I can. I did have a few more items on but I took them off when they were about to expire because they hadnā€™t sold. I tried close up photos but always seem to get reflections on the photos. I am also trying to sort out the social media thing I have started set up a Facebook page but havenā€™t got a clue what I am doing as I have never used social media before. I sell my jewellery in a local craft shop and am doing quite well with that but I do need to push the internet sales.

@colourburstjewellery I have not sold through Facebook. ā€œTalkā€ to other shop owners who sell the same type of items how the take photos. They are all friendly and willing to help

Thanks for that!

I have just noticed you have favourited my jewellery. Thanks I am glad you like it!
