Toiletries for men

(Liz Dyson) #1

I’ve seen a nice-looking set in M & S called a Bloke Soak which might be suitable for my uncle for Christmas. Well, it would be but I’d rather get something from Folksy. My searching hasn’t come up with much, so I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of nice bathroom-type stuff for blokes.

Thanks in advance.

Liz, this fragrance is very popular with my male customers on that auction site we were talking about earlier. I could make you a set out of it with a soap, shampoo and some fizzers?

Dammit I’m too tired, it might be a good idea if i gave you the link lol

Yes Bay Rum is a very nice, traditional fragrance for men. I should think my OH would like this too. I wonder how it would be with my asthma… (he’s had to stop using his favourite products, because I go all blue and can’t breathe - they’re not even smelly!)

Edit: @ShropshireNaturalProducts, Donna, I just had a look at your shop. Lots of nice things - though the mixture of ornaments and smellies in the “Christmas Fragrance” category had me a bit confused at first - I thought those were Santa Soaps… However, the soap fragrances sound lovely!
I looked at the “Pampering Kits”. Maybe a set for men might be nice - perhaps the Bay Rum, or something a bit herby or spicey? Men are So Hard to buy for - it might get you a few sales, at this time of year?

Nice things! Have added your shop to my favourites.

Lizzy @LizzieMade , Thank you for your lovely comments, my son is Asthmatic and uses my products with no problems at all
The Santas in the Christmas section are soaps and bathbombs :santa: I’ll go and look at the listings to make them clearer
I have got a couple of male orientated pampering kit ideas, I just haven’t worked out what to put them in yet, I don’t thing the little totes I usually use would be appropriate , but I am working on it

I bought this from @scentcosmetics for my brother in law last year - it smelled wonderful

They do quite a range suitable for blokes.

Thank you so much for the reference and promotion. We so appreciate it that customers who gossip about us are the best way to grow our little social enterprise. Thank you.

In relation to male scents though. I’m in love with Sandalwood at the minute and Lime is up there on my top loves at present too.

I’ve just made myself hungry!

@scentcosmetics, I’ve been looking at your shop as it came up in my search - I ADORE your Calla Lillies, they are absolutely fabulous! I like the bath salts idea and there are some there for my auntie too, so I might be by your shop very soon.
Thanks, everyone.

Oh, No pressure. Glad we made the search though.

I’m afraid we have been lying low on the forums. Carla was bed-bound for most of her pregnancy and baby’s arrival hasn’t been smooth either. I’ll hopefully have more of a presence in the new year as I return the lab back to Carla (not quite as she found it though!).

Calla Lillies… Just when I thought I’d managed to get to grips with almost everything Carla does - you’ve reminded me of one I’ve not yet had to try.

Right, I’ve bought some salts for my uncle, my fella, my auntie and a peach soap for another auntie - thanks for making Christmas shopping easy, @scentcosmetics.

Oh you are most welcome! Thanks for helping to make our Christmas too! In the post tomorrow morning.

This one might be nice for young men - I know my son loves to Eat the Real things!

we fellas are supposed to smell of sawdust and old socks, not fruit and veg

(Sarah Lambert) #13

Aw bless you Steven for making me laugh (I love your crate coffee tables)

But Steven, women love the smell of Chocolate - it will make you irresistible!

@ShropshireNaturalProducts - Donna, do you live next door to the post office, or did I just happen to buy just before your next post run? I just got my “Item posted” e-mail!!

(Donna) #16

lol I’m not quite next door the the post office but it is just around the corner from me. You just happened to place your order when I’d just made a load of cookies and yours was the last parcel I did before finishing for the day  I hope you enjoy it when it gets to you.
