Want to come to our craft and business skills workshops? Tickets on sale now!

Hi everyone. I just wanted to let you all know that tickets are now available for our amazing hands-on craft workshops and business skills sessions at the Weekend of the Maker in November.

We’ve lined up some amazing people! For the craft workshops Marna Lunt who was recently on the BBC MAKE! Craft Britain show has designed a brilliant Snow Globe Embroidery Workshop especially for us, and Jenny Newall is running a stained glass taster day, where you can make your own Christmas decoration. There are two other drop-in sessions running over the weekend too.

You can also learn all about social media with Sara from Me and Orla and Emily Quinton, get tips on product photography with Yeshen, learn how to sell to shops and galleries with shopowner Debbie from Moonko, and learn more about Google and social media with me.

@HilaryP will also be running one-to-one sessions and shop reviews where you can get tailored advice just for you - plus a free copy of her book!

We’ve tried to keep everything as affordable as possible, and there’s also an evening do on the Saturday night where you can mingle with other makers - and meet us! I really hope some of you can make it! It would be lovely to see you there.

Be really interesting to hear how this went. I can’t go unfortunately but hope it’s a success! :grinning:

I took part in Folksy’s 2014 Business in a Day event in Sheffield which did me a lot of good :). Have just signed up for two sessions - the 1to1 with Hilary Pullen and Selling to Shops with Debbie from Moonko. Still thinking about photography and Instagram workshops… And I’m looking forward to see the Folksy sellers showing their work. The venue is supposed to be really nice, I am told.
Can’t wait! :)))
