Weathering Wednesday

Good morning all,
I’m having a lie in this morning putting off the house work and repairing OH’s work clothes for as long as I can lol.
Roz @Rozcraftz I love the Christmas decorations :santa:t2: it’s hard to price things like that. I like to buy something different and special for my tree every year and know they are expensive!
Dawn @hobbitgirlie1880 it sounds like you had a lovely day with your bestest friend  it’s a shame about your flat swap and noisy upstairs neighbour :rage: I hope you sort something out soon
Right I’m off to read a few pages of my book before giving the house a good top to bottom clean.
Donna x

I don’t blame you having a lie in.
Mending clothes and house work will still be there later

Yeah it was a lovely day with my friend. She is lovely.

My OH is asking if they will up his hours at work so we can maybe rent somewhere private.
Think we have both had enough. he had a panic attack last night. He suffers from really bad anxiety and depression. It’s been fine for years until that silly boy moved in upstairs.
Hate seeing him like that.

Well fingers crossed he will get more hours.

Thanks Dawn @hobbitgirlie1880. That’s a shame about the flat but fingers crossed your OH will get the extra hours needed so you can both find a happy ending to what seems like a tragedy at the moment.

Glad you had a nice time out with you’re friend and that it got you out of your flat for a bit! Have you made anymore Christmas decorations?

Enjoy you’re book Donna @RedDragonDesigns, what are you reading? I haven’t sat with a book for months, I enjoy reading. Good luck with your chores lol. x

Well I’ve repaired the work clothes  I have to admit that the one pair of trousers is now more patch than original fabric lol
Kelly @tagpress I’m reading the Tad Williams Otherland series

It’s a complicated story about virtual reality so I’ve added a link rather than try to explain it lol I’m on the 3rd book now

That book sounds interesting Donna @RedDragonDesigns might have to look into it. I just finished a book on henry 8th wives.
It was very long winded but good.
Sorry I love history.

I have made a few more Christmas bits Kelly @tagpress please excuse picture

I’m going to start making some sets of 4.

(oh no picture looks terrible now it’s all stretched)

hi there, I’m on my 2nd cup of coffee this morning and thought I’d dive straight on here and say hello.

I’m new to the forums as well as new to Folksy !

Any tips on how to get people looking at your stuff?

I don’t think I could settle into reading that Donna @RedDragonDesigns as it’s not my kind of thing but I’m glad you’re enjoying it! I like reading crime type things. There’s a book that’s brill called Error of Judgement by Dexter Dias, well worth reading if you like these type of things.

Love the decorations Dawn @hobbitgirlie1880, their very pretty. Thanks for sharing!

Welcome to Folksy @sandranesbitt. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Good luck with you’re new shop. x

I haven’t read a crime novel since I was in my mid 20’s (i’m not saying how long ago that was lol) I love sci-fi and fantasy though. I like to completely escape from real life when I read
Dawn it’s a great series. You should try it

I think that I read 3 of those books Donna @RedDragonDesigns but it was a while ago. I found it quite heavy going. At the moment I’m ironically reading some sci-fi from my past (now old enough to be a “classic”) Joe Haldemann’s Forever War series. I flit between sci-fi, fantasy and crime depending on what I have on my Kindle.

Right, the day seems to have disappeared! I am off to the stables where my daughter used to go riding. Now she is away at Uni she doesn’t go any more but I miss chatting to the other mums who I got quite friendly with. We occasionally meet up for a couple of drinks but we are not terribly good at organising it so I will go and chat to them while their daughters are riding, not the greatest weather for it but at least its dry at the moment

Just to say, having mad few days, but still alive and knitting!
Are we starting weekly thread tomorrow called weekly natterings, or has someone else got a much better title, answers by midnight please!!
Suzzie x

I think we should Suzzie @thistledownandHOPE. Title is good enough for me. x

Title is fine! Please don’t tell me you are going to wait at your computer, until midnight clicks over and then launch the thread!

Ha Ha, feels a bit like The Maddness of Suzzie Godfrey, here at the mo, so that is an option, but not getting anywhere fast these days, I am still up at midnight…but tomorrow is a quiet start.
Got No.1 sons girlfriends parents for lunch, 1st meeting, wish me luck!

You’re hilarious Rhiannon lol  @RhiannonRoseJewellery

Good luck Suzzie not that you’ll need it!

It feels so humid, I can’t be bothered to do anything but I have 2 orders to make so off to do it! Will catch up later. x

Very quiet on here today. Done quite a bit so far but it is all items due to go into a B&M christmas shop so not destined for my folksy shop. At least when I have got everything made up and packaged I can get back to some new makes here
