What are you grateful for

I’m grateful for this thread  it’s a wee bit of light relief on these dreadful news days! This morning I too was grateful for a breakfast item, lol, the last banana in the fruit bowl for my toast and peanut butter!

Sun’s out and bread is rising… I’m very grateful to that last and rather elderly packet of yeast at the back of the cupboard for not being dead yet!

I’m grateful that I wasn’t going very fast when a dozy deer wandered very slowly across the main road right in front of my car last night!

Grateful to have had a really productive, good energy day that’s put me in a much better frame of mind. Was lying in bed last night full of self-doubt, ready to shut it all down and just go back to full-time gardening. You should never listen to your thoughts after midnight!

I was grateful to see three deer leaping through the wood behind our garden wall. And just as grateful they didn’t leap into our garden and start on the plants! But they are truly beautiful - just the non native Muntjac deer, but we also see native deer from time to time.

My lovely husband who has been looking after me this weekend - I’ve picked up a chest infection and all I can do is sit in a chair and cough! So grateful to have someone to make me cups of tea and help me to see the funny side :slightly_smiling_face:

Totally agree @FunFlowers a little heat and sunshine is so uplifting. I’m grateful to live near the coast, we had a lovely sight of ‘sea diamonds’ on our walk at the weekend

Grateful to be home after my battle with Tesco’s psychological torture booth (where they take the passport photos).

I’m grateful for my boyfriend who is always so patient when I seek him out several times a day to ask: ‘do you think this necklace is nice?’, ‘should I use these beads or those?’, ‘do you think this is a nice colour scheme?’ (etc.) !

I am grateful that my lovely husband, Nick, has had very positive results back from the operation he had recently to remove a small cancerous growth. This was detected in a routine bowel screening test (we call them poo sticks) and it has now been successfully removed. Please don’t ever be squeamish about doing these tests, they save lives! x

Also grateful that I have a brother who puts me right on song lyrics from time to time! I just found out that Bryan Adams was not ‘dancing on your mama’s Porsche’… always thought they were being a bit disrespectful of property there :joy:

For years I thought it strange when Elton John sang " Goodbye aubergine …"

Haha, I bet we could fill a thread with misheard lyrics! For years I wondered why Anthony Kiedis was singing ‘without the shed it’s a lonely view’ :joy:

I’m grateful to have just discovered that I can wear my wrist brace while knitting with circular needles. DPNs are a no-no, but this might allow me to knit for longer on circs!
